I was wondering how often you wash your hair and use shampoo. I sometimes shower 2-3 times a day and would use shampoo each and every time but then I read that you don't need to use shampoo every time. I still use it at least once a day but if I am taking a shower and am not really "dirty" I now just rinse my head with water (still use soap on body every time :lol. I was just curious to know how often do you use shampoo. Also, I've seen "hair oil" for sale in the hair care aisle and was wondering if that had any usefulness on people's hair and/or if it's only for people with dry hair.
I go between showering once a day to every other day, depending on my day and what's going on. I'm usually quite busy but I will never go past three if I can help it. The only time I went past three was when I was camping and only after the 6th day, was I told that there where shower cabins not far from the camp site. Was I ever happy.
I wash my hair two or three times a week. I have the stupidest scalp/skin. If I wash my hair too much it's gets irritated. And I'm allergic to something in a lot of shampoos
I shampoo - and condition - my hair on a daily basis, unless I go a day without showering. I always thought shampooing daily was what everyone did, but apparently a lot of people don't. I've read that it can dry your hair and scalp, but that hasn't been a problem with me. My hair has always been shiny and has never suffered from dryness. Actually, the only people I know with dry or broken hair are people who a) use straighteners or hair dryers regularly, and b) people who dye their hair a lot.
I wash it weekly because the type of hair I have only needs to be washed weekly. I think if I were to wash it everyday, I would start to experience breakage and it would get too oily.
ican go two weeks without washing my hair. i have a big head of curls. my hair itself is thin but i have a lot of it. my hair hardly ever gets nasty and my roots never get too oily. i take a shower everyday and get my hair wet every two to three days. I use sulfate and SLS free shampoo and conditioner. I use homemade hair gel used from boiled flaxseed i also use argan oil when my hair is frizzy or feels a little dry or ill just put some on my scalp and tips just before bed.
Shower once a day and shampoo once a day nearly always unless I KNOW I am not leaving the house. That is usually only once a week.
I shower 1-2x a day and used to shampoo my hair every time. However, since I've started shaving my head, I don't really use shampoo at all anymore, just wet my head in the shower and then put aloe on it after to moisturize. I still occasionally use a little shampoo on my beard just because. Todd
I shampoo daily. My hair would probably be fine with less, as I don't really do anything with it, but I enjoy shampoo mohawks far too much to decrease my usage of the product.
I have super greasy hair, so I need to wash at least every other day. I've heard about this thing called "nopoo" where you wean your hair off shampoo because apparently the chemicals aren't good for your scalp and hair. (You still wash your hair, you just don't use shampoo) I would've liked to try this, my hair would have become a train wreck when the scalp is adjusting to the chemicals being gone.
Right now it's about 3-4 times a week, on days when I swim laps. Historically, going way back to when I was a kid (shortly after that troublesome War Between States :lol, I have always hated washing my hair. So...I skip doing so when I can.
I wash my hair every 2nd day and I use "2 in 1 shampoo/conditioner" once per week. I've never really had a problem with my hair, except one time as a kid; I got chewing gum stuck in my hair lol.
I wash my hair with shampoo every other day, because it gets greasy pretty quickly and I like the feeling of it when it's just been washed.
Wooh, hair care topic! I could go on for days about this subject. I have long, curly hair. I try to keep manipulation to a minimum, so I wash it every 2-5 days and I rarely use shampoo. I wash with conditioner instead. As for commercial "hair oils," I don't use them. However, natural oils are excellent for hair. Olive oil, or coconut oil is a good place to start (also camellia oil, grapeseed oil, etc). Personally, I swear by coconut oil. It's not just for people with very dry hair, even with "normal" hair they can work wonders.
I heard washing your hair every day wasn't good for it? I don't know. I shower every day, but I wash my hair every other day. I got to the gym every other day, so after I work out, thats when I shampoo.
A few times per week. I don't even have that much hair left on my head. Plus, if I let my hair grow, I get dandruff.
