porn :(

I have better things to do with my time than look up porn. Some people love it, and that's fine by me. But I just personally don't like it that much.. I don't even bother looking it up to 'give it a try'..

The most powerful sexual stimulus is the brain. No I don't mean that squishy thing, but your imagination has the power to give you a much more fulfilling sexual activeness.

 

...Or so they say. Imagination doesn't do that great a job for me, since it lasts for a second or so. But everyone's different, so I can only speak for myself.

 

I liked porn since 12.

Anyway, Mother found out what I was doing, and...well, she smacked me in the face. she was hurt by perversion when she was a child, but thats all settled now. However, that smacked kinda made me stop looking stuff up, so...ya. ...I guess it isnt as funny as I thought it was.

I love porn. I watch it a lot, and honestly, my life is a lot better with it than without. There were a couple of years after college when I didn't have cable or the internet, and believe me, those were very crappy times. It wasn't just the lack of porn, but I'm sure it was a factor.

 

I don't think it's a bad thing to be addicted to porn. I've basically been watching it since I was 13. And I usually watch porn when I have the time.

 

It's because of porn that I figured out I was gay.

I used to be "addicted" to porn, but since then I just don't care for it as much. The problem is, there just isn't enough honest, real emotion in most porn to seem genuine. And in the last few months, especially, I've realized just how important emotion is in sex.

plus. most guys no matter if your straight or not, most guys love porn of any kind.

I wouldn't say i'm "addicted" to porn. I usedd to go on it a lot but when i put some effort into to it, and stayed away from surfing the net out of boredom, it was really easy not to watch it/look it up. I haven't for 2 weeks so far awhile after reading this forum. It's not something that i feel sad or depressed about. If anything it's been positive i'd started wasting time watching my favourite shows, which is more productive in my eyes. I guessing i'm not helping the cause of saying it's not really and addiction by counting the days. But i'm trying to see how long i can go then i'll probably just be bored of the thought anyway. If i wanna watch it frequently i think it'd b better 2 wait till i'm a legal age. Call me ol' fashioned but that's just my though on the topic.

 

A part from the obvious reasons of 'its degrading, debassing, perverse, etc.' what is wrong with porn, normal 'everyday porn' I'm not talking about hard core DS/SM?

Porn has existed in different forms throughout the ages and over just about every continent and culture. If the people being filmed or photographed are consenting and happy with what they are doing (I know this is a very simplified view of the whole porn debate but the question was not about the morality of porn), why should you deny yourself the pleasure of watching it if you enjoy it.

Assuming of course consent, bla bla bla, who are you hurting by looking at porn? Don't be so hard on yourself. I'm sure there are plenty fo things you can beat yourself up over if you really look but it won't make you happy. Accept yourself for who you are and the things you like for what they are.

 

i'm confused. as far as i remember there is a stigma about guys guys just wanting sex and being really horny and all this. and i suppose thats not a good sterotype. but i'm just saying by my reading this thread i would infer this is true just by looking at teh information displayed. i don't have to beleive if because i think there are gay guys who actually want a real loving relationship or what one and sex i dunno.

but would the ones who are addicted or enjoy porn on a regular basis be the same to fight and be angered by this sterotype or are you agreeing with it?

(this is a non biased question i'm not on either side of the debate but i'm just confused as it seems like there may be some contradicting when some like porn and have no problem saying its ok and others are saying it a bad addiction.)

 

Well i wouldn't be offended by it if i looked at porn constantly or i didn't. With the amount of porn on the interweb(lol) and it's acceptance (to some degree) in many cultures makes it obvious that there are many people who are "addicted". Oh and btw don't feel sorry for me about stoping the watching because it wasn't really making me that happy anyway.
