If the Japanese language is in the North American version of the game it will definitely be region locked. It's weird to have region locking but include all the languages. It's fantastic that they're ther, it's just...weird. I might just buy both games just to have a Spanish playthrough.
Am I the only one who thinks Noivern looks like he could evolve from Swoobat? Both are sound-based bat-like creatures with a similar color scheme with a pig-like face.
Yeah they look very similar. Similar colour scheme, wings are similar, ears are similar, the fluffy neck tuft is essentially identical. If it wasn't for one being Dragon and the other Psychic then I would totally expect it to be an evo.
It still technically could be. xD But I doubt it. I just think it looks oddly similar. I have a feeling this will be another Alomomola though. An obvious evolution that isn't actually an evolution. (Luvdisc) In a way, I wish they'd retcon Alomomola into Luvdisc's evolution. >_>
I think they should make a prevo that can split off into either Luvdisc or Alomomola. Or even better, an evo that they can both evolve into - convergent rather than divergent evolution.

I like the idea of a level 5 Jigglypuff slowly double-slapping a really strong enemy to death because they only have dragon type moves. (if it turns out to be immune to Dragon, that is) I think all Pokemon that are Flying type are going to be visibly flying in their battle animations to accomodate the air battles without having to make two animations. Which is a bit of a shame, because things like Salamence and Charizard and Ledyba and Scyther don't really suit it - and we've already got proof that Charizard's idle animation will be flying. Plus I'm not sure how they're going to show Doduo and Dodrio flying without looking stupid. Considering it evolves from Clefairy..
I don't trust Pokebeach. They run April Fools Jokes, Leaks, etc. I will post things from them when they look legitimate, but otherwise I stick to Serebii. PokeBeach is also the site that caused the Diamond/Pearl Cease and Desist to every pokemon fansite back in 2007. They leaked things WAY earlier than they were told they were allowed to, forcing other fansites to leak the same stuff, and caused quite a bit of legal issues that caused Pokebeach, Serebii, Marilland, etc. all to be shut down for like a week.
4 New Pokemon! These 2 are the pre-evolutions of Vivillon. The middle stage is presumably Spewpa. (We only know their Japanese names atm) Lion Pokemon, Fire/Normal typing. And our first Pure Fairy pokemon revealed other than Sylveon. (Not Grass, as I'm sure you'd expect. If you notice, the pokemon is holding ONTO a flower. xD) According to the magazine info about Furabebe (the fairy's japanese name), it is not born with a flower. It spends time finding a flower, which it then protects for it's entire life. (I presume it's powers keep the flower alive after it's been rooted. lol) It is also revealed to be the smallest AND lightest pokemon in existence. (though the dimensions they give us make it the same size as Joltik and the same weight as Gastly/Haunter) Height: 0'04"/0.1m Weight: 0.1kg And on a random side note: Noivern is the first dual-type pokemon to have Flying as it's main type. Every other pokemon is Normal/Flying, Fire/Flying, etc. Noivern is Flying/Dragon.
Shinx is a Lion. Though I know what you mean. I expect this lion to become a fully maned lion. Especially with a fire subtype, I'll be surprised if we don't get a fire mane. I'm still waiting for a Flamingo, Peacock, and Koala. >_< And Dolphin.

GAMEFREAK STOP MAKING EXPIES edit: Also I wonder if they are going to go the complete opposite direction in this generation and given us a bunch of fire Pokemon from the very start. Fletchling is a fire type (well, Talonflame is), and Shishiko is Fire/Normal so it could take the place of the crappy Route 1 rodent.
Apparently. And Ridiculous, We know Zigzagoon is available on the first route, so there may not be a rodent.
It'll most likely either be a mid-game sort of thing like Darmanitan or early like a Poochyena. I don't think it's rodent-y enough to fill the rodent slot.
