If I was you i'd put like heaps of gay porn and in that bit where you write about say something over the top about being gay(get descriptive) then just claim you were hacked?

 

go with number 3, your mom might not even find out, it generally works out that what goes on between students will stay between students (at least that's how at my school it worked) ; if your that worried about ur safety say its a joke, though i don't actually recommend you do that. Another thing, you more than likely actually want to be out. If you have it on MySpace you knew eventually people would find out; so that way you didn't actually have to physically say "yea, i'm gay." If you feel physically threatened go to an adult. About your mom- has ever hinted that if she was related to a homosexual she would disown them? or are you assuming that that would happen if you told her?

My recommendation is this.......is there one adult in your life that you have a really good relationship with. In other words, someone worth "risking it for"? See if you can gain the support of this one person so you may get their feedback. This might help alot having someone local.

Contact the Human Rights Campaign and or PFLAGG and see what sort of support group might exist within your county / provence.

I know this might just be a bit of a reach but try it on anway.........we have a huge Jamaican communty right here in South Florida so does New York City, Montreal & London. Alex, perhaps you could talk to your mom & dad about a student exchange program, no need to mention "gay". This gives you four options of communities that are accepting of the gay/lesbian/bi & transgendered lifestyles. "Gee..........what a novel idea", relocating to come out!! You definately won't be the first guy to try this out!! Lol alot of us have "been there done that". :icon_wink

Your story is actually making me think........We'll call it "the Haven" an exchange program for G/L/T/Bi students. Ya just never know who you inspire!

Well one of my most favorite annoying quotes is "its too late for shouldas". The damage is done so it really doesn't do any good to lecture Alex now on why he put this on his MySpace. You definitely need to form a support network with trusted adults, Alex. Coming out may be your only option but you need the support around you.

He may need to lie (like Paul said) Jamaica in general is extremely homophobic. It's very dangerous there for someone who is out to everyone. Safety is more important than coming out, I believe in this circumstance.

He was on Myspace Monday. Idk what that means though, his myspace doesn't have anything on it anymore, no friends, no background. To my knowledge it could have always been like that.

Alex hasn't been here since about an hour after starting this thread, so he probably hasn't even seen most of the replies.

yeah i have heard that jamaica is perhaps the single most unaccepting place of homosexuality outside of the middle east...

I do know Kingston is a VERY rough place; I'd listen to Paul...we've all had to lie to survive; part of coming out is picking where and when, especially when it's not safe.
