The War of the Roses - This movie is, hands down, one of my favorites of all time!!! It almost makes divorce look fun.

Aladdin for me. I just have to watch it 1-2 times more to get the movie burned into my mind, so I can speak of it as a childhood memory. Didn't grow up watching Disney movies, so essentially I have no childhood. :icon_redf

I watched The Blind Side last night. I was quite pleased, great movie! When Sandra first won the Oscar I was a little bummed, but I definitely agree she deserves it now.

Oh. My. God. It's like freakin Glorified Torture Porn, with a decently predictable storyline. >_< I DESPISE Blood, yet my sister made me go, knowing what it was, (I didnt)

The Children of Men. I forgot how incredibly emotional it became near the end.

Law Abiding Citizen. Good movie. Though, I missed the part where they show Gerard Butlers butt and I couldn't rewind it because others were around and they already took it back to blockbuster so I'll never get to see his butt!!!!! =( FML =P

FINALLY got round to seeing this movie. I liked it a lot. Was it scary? Yeah, but not in the way horror movies are "normally" scary if you know what I mean. Its just the whole situation, and the reaction of the people to it, and how crazy they become. Pretty depressing though, gotta say.

    "Up in the Air"

A comedy with George Clooney, who portrays a man whose job it is to fire other people. His travels and contacts with different people, give him everything he wants. When his company wants to change his job description and asks him to stay permanently at headquarters, he finds himself wanting to change his own life.

I liked the movie as I thought it was well done. It brought out the characters vulnerable sides in many different ways.

The last movie I saw was probably Crazy Heart, mellow movie, Jeff Bridges was good.

I've seen it so long ago, but I remember how chilling it was to see it. It's definitely not your average horror movie, especially American horror movie ._.

It's probably one of my top horror movies too.

Ah v_v Please don't say that. Thats like generalizing that all American horror movies are like Prom Night or something. They aren't at all! Those are only the really shitty ones. There IS good American horror =P My favorite is The Thing  But I know what you mean, a shit load of "Horror" movies in recent times have been crappy, and Mtvified and all that bullshit. Hopefully times are a changing for horror movies and the majority will get actually scary again.

    I haven't seen Prom Night and I'm glad I didn't.

Sorry for stereotyping and upsetting you in the process, but honestly, no matter how well rated america's horror movies are, they're most likely going to have lots of guts, maybe some human torture, blood, gore, and unnecessary objects or faces jumping out at you.

I'm sure there's a fair share of good ones, but as an observation, recent US horror movies are becoming less likely to be clever and more likely to be riddled with plot holes and violence.

edit: If you have some good US horror movies to share, that'd make for good example.
