    Was an interesting concept with a gay superhero, just poorly written. Fun story though

    "Prayers for Bobby"...The book is actually pretty good, I liked it. The movie is good but the book gives you a better idea of what Bobby was going through and Mary's change

    I just finished Living Dead In Dallas. True Blood is so much better then the book.

    I'm currently reading Greek:grin:ouble Date. It's based on the abcfamily tv show. So far, it's just like the show.

    A friend of mine came over for dinner last weekend, and saw this book which I'd left next to the couch. He glanced at it, and said "I'm sorry, I just can NOT understand reading a historical fiction like this." I said, "Um, it's not fiction - it's NON-fiction. It's about the Constitutional Convention and how they came up with the Constitution." He stared at me for a second, then said "OK, now I REALLY don't have any clue how you could read this." I smiled and said "That's OK - we can't all be smart." :slight_smile:

    Excellent, excellent, excellent :slight_smile:
    But a very sad ending;
    "You have the last thread of my heart. I wonder: when the thread grows slack, will you feel it?" Last and favorite line of the whole book.

    The Perks of Being a Wallflower, by Stephen Chbosky. I really liked it, because I really related to the main character in terms of his interactions with other people at his high school. And there's a gay primary character! :slight_smile:

    I'm currently reading "The Burning Bed" by Faith McNulty. I saw the film and got interested in the real-life events the movie is based on, so I decided to read the book. The book I think paints a slightly more violent and depressing picture than the film, but that's to be expected. It was a TV movie, after all. Good book, though. It sheds a harsh light on domestic violence.

    Mayflower: A Story of Courage, Community, and War.

    Not completely through it yet, but it is a great book. Very interesting book. It gives a great perspective on part of the birth of the United States. I am a science major currently in college and need to get my history fix sometime! So summer is for history books! :slight_smile:

    Just finished The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. First 50 pages were a bit of a struggle but the rest is great. Can't wait to start the second one of the trilogy.
