I've been trying to tell my mom about being gay for quite a while now. I once said it out loud before, but she was in the other room and didn't hear me (I was so annoyed) and then I couldn't bring myself to say it again. So, I thought it would be good to see what others have done and what the response was like? Anything would help! Thanks!
I just sat my parents down and said a semi-long speech about the LGBT community ending with "I'm asexual and panromantic" (I hadn't come out as agender yet). If you can't bring yourself to say the words out loud, you can write your feelings down on a piece of paper and give it to your mom, if you want. It's a good way to organize yourself and you don't have much of a chance to back out. Whatever makes you comfortable.
