    Talk about sports a lot.
    Leer at the attractive girls.
However, don't talk to any of the girls. Tell your friends that the unattractive ones are "too ugly to waste time on", and the attractive ones are "too stuck-up".
And I'd say act miserable and depressed, but that'll come naturally from living counter to your programming.

Do what comes naturally. Don't feel you have to do any stereotypical bullshit because you're gay. But don't be a;l macho to act like you're straight either.

You still havn't shared why you want to act 'straight' it's be really difficult if you don't fit the stereotype already.
I have a very straight personality and hardly anyone thinks i'm gay, even though i'm out!
Personally I think it's all about the voice and hand gestures (stereotypes i know) but don't be to over expressionate, show aggression in place of excitement.

I'm a moody little bastard so i have no bother with it.

I had some guys in my class who could't talk about a girl without mentioning where/how/in which position/how often (hmm)/how long the could/ wanted to have sex with her. It was very "interesting". I'm so glad I don't have to go back to school again!

Don't bother wasting time talking about chicks, it barely proves anything.

    A few tips.

    1. When talking, keep things slower and less "OMG" "Bitch" and "No way"s

    2. When sitting, keep your knees apart.

    3. Minimize hand gestures

    4. Don't make as much eye contact with guys.

    5. When going to the toilet, use the troughs and not the cubicals for pees.

    6. When standing or leaning, keep both legs in the same potion (e.g don't let one knee bend or bow and the other leg stay straight)

    7. And the most obvious, avoid stereotypical aspects of gay lifestyle like the fashion, speech, interests/hobbies, hanging out with girls more the guys that kind of stuff.

OMW, this is exactly what I did before I came out and I thought I was quite clever for thinking of it! It REALLY works though. I mean, I act and sing in musicals, I love Doris Day and use the word "fabulous" all the time ... and even my housemates were shocked when I had a guy round one night.

I don't understand how you can act straight really now that I think about it. A lot of what you guys are saying to stop doing or to start doing doesn't make you gay or straight at all. like first of all, the hand motions thing? Just cuz you talk with your hands doesn't mean you're gay (i think we all know we know that, im' saying stopping doesn't make you look striaght either), I'm a NYer AND Italian, its like completely normal to talk with your hands lol. TONS of people do it, so I think that's sorta not valid when you say stop talking with your hands. A lot of the "Macho" shit you guys are describing is totally not right either, you're describing douchebags, not straight people. Seriously, theres no way to act straight lol. You just are who you are, if you want to lie to others and say you're straight, then thats fine, that's the only way you can act straight, tell others that you r straight and like girls, honestly thats the only way.

I agree that these things don't make you gay or whatever, but what they are, are stereotypes which the majority of straight people connotate with homosexuality.

There are a MASSIVE number of gays out there that don't fit ANY of these stereotypes at all, seem totally straight - but that's exactly the problem, a typical person doesn't know they are gay so they then can't connect the actions of straight acting gay guys to being gay.

The ignorant can't help but make blind judgment.
