PS2 or the original xbox controller (even though the left trigger on mine stopped working it's still useable just not on driving games) because they were the first two i ever used
I do most of my gaming on pc, but when I do use a controller, I use a Logitech F130. It's like an Xbox controller, but the left stick and the d-pad are where they would be on a PlayStation. I like it because the stick placement makes more sense to me, but it still uses the standard axby buttons instead of the weird PlayStation ones. Also, the triggers are analog, which is nice for driving games.
This girl knows the fucking deal. I'm not even really a Nintendo fan, but they nailed it with the GC controller so hard.
A week ago I was looking for a controller to buy and after I read this thread I bought the xbox360 wireless controller. Totally worth it! Thank you for guiding me to this piece of heaven :eusa_clap
PS4 is definitely my favourite controller. I've quite small hands and they're usually pretty calloused from playing bass and the PS4 controller just seems to work better for me in terms of comfort due to the shape. I've tried a few variations of XBox controllers but their shape just doesn't work for me despite them having pretty much the same buttons and being the same size.
I was always more of a fan of the Playstation controllers as the XBox ones felt a bit bulky to me. But since I played video games a lot as a kid with small hands that is understandable. Now I'd probably say the XBox 360 controllers are the best. I dislike the XBox One controllers, something about them feels more slippery and difficult to handle. I'll second the GameCube though. I played many an hour of Tony Hawks Pro-Skater with that.
From what I remember, the Xbox 360 controllers were comfortable enough. But I now have a PS4, the original controller is just the right size for my hands but is also uncomfortable after even half an hour. I also have a Nacon controller which is way more comfortable and more accurate when I'm playing games. The only downside is that it's much bigger than the PS4 original!
The Gamecube controller has always felt the most natural to me. It just feels right in my hands when gaming.
I currently play with 3 different ones, xbox 360, PS4 and Steam controller. Have to say I like the PS4 the most. Still getting used to the steam controller and it is useful for some PC games. But I've just invested in these two bits for gaming from the couch properly....
PS4. Even though two generations into the wireless controller I still find myself doing the "extend the wire shake" when I am playing on the couch under blankets.
The Gamecube controller was probably the most comfortable to use as all the buttons were easy to reach. The PS4 ranks second, while the N64 comes in third for mostly nostalgic reasons as it was my first console.
