So I have serve social anxiety , and my family just really doesn't understand it , every time I am in public and I have to talk to someone they will make me look at the person and then after critze me about how I don't make eye contact . Its pretty hard and makes me feel bad about my self and that I am messed up . What should I do
start by looking at their forehead. It actually works. Looking right at someones eyes is sort of un-nerving at first, and actually I dont like frankly stare in my eyes sa to give the impression they are really paying attention to me. Its kinda weird. You arent 'messed up'. It just takes some practice and maturity to develop the confidence when dealing with people. It will come with time.
