Do you give nicknames to inanimate objects?

I have a stuffed koala called Mr Koala (I know, very original).

Also a plastic model of a dinosaur skull I call Chompy.

When I was 16 (yes, you read that right) I found this wooden stick outside and started going around tapping and poking things with it when I was in a silly mood. This stick came to be known as Patrick to reduce the chances of my mother discarding it when I wasn't around, because you know, you can't throw Patrick away now Patrick has a name.
