I am mad that pop music is going through the electro phase
now people are going to associate electro music with crappy pop.
I've been listening to electronic music for more then 10 years and this
is the first time America is using electronic music in mainstream since
    the 90's.

You nailed it! Anything for the $. It's more for the entertainment value lately anyway. Not growing any certain performers music career, or trying to win songwriting contests.

The Good thing is, over time, all the awful music fades away and good stuff is left over - there was some terriable music in the 60's (my grandmas record collection is a living example of this) but do people remember the rubbish novelty songs? Not realy; they remember The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Jimmi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, The Velvet Underground (ext...insert other good bands/singers). With time people will forget even more of the rubbish from the 90's and stuff like Nirvana, Radiohead, Pearl Jam, My bloody Valentein, Neutral Milk Hotel, Jeff Buickley (ext...insert other good bands/singers) will be left over.

The same will be true fro the 2000's; people will forget Ke$sha, Katy Perrry and Justin Beiber and the good stuff like Arcade Fire, The White Stripes, Vampire Weekend and the XX (ext... insert other good bands/singers) will be remembered fondly for a long, long time :icon_bigg
