If our Allies don't come to our side, then they're going to be fucked too. There is a reason why allies are allies. So that if one of these allied countries are invaded, they are OBLIGED to help fight back.

 

Obliged. That doesn't mean they have to. It means they should. There is a difference.

We've had allies 'betray' us before. It will happen again.

 

Yep and as soon as that stops being the case (ie. they're no longer economically dependent on our success) they'll stop being our allies.

 

Not only would it just be "mean" if they did. But they would be decimated if they did too. If a country as big as China takes over a country as important as America, the rest of the world might as just basically surrender.

 

Hmm this discussion is rather intriguing.

From what I've heard of the region alot of China's neighbors don't like it's growing presence I'd think we could count on actually gaining unlikely allies. You must remember that while the US might be hated if worst comes to worst and it's either a choice of China or US most nations would still go with the US.

 

I think we'd lose allies that we are used to, and I agree that we would gain unlikely ones.

 

I'm thinking about the Rangers winning the world series. GO RANGERS!!

 

I have decided for next Halloween that I'm going drag, but GOOD drag, none of that cheap wig & cheerleader outfit shit. I'm doing the whole deal.

Andrew and I won fourth place in the costume contest as Light and L Pretty much the highlight of my week. Everyone kept freaking out over the fact that we were chained together. I know it sounds lame, but it's nice that the club is so... open... about everything... and we could be there and feel comfortable with being the couple that we are in a public setting. Idk, it just felt nice.

I'm pretty sure I just saw an epic attempt by a dude to impress my roomie, singing Tenacious D on guitar, pretty damn well. I think I approve! I kinda wish he were a chick.
