Were you planned or a "surprise"?

i wasn't necessarily planned. my parents had wanted a boy after having my sister but they never planned another child. four years after my sister was born they had me! my mom didn't know she was pregnant until about 6 months into the pregnancy. i still have no idea how she didn't know she was pregnant lol.

 

my birth parents were 16 and in high school... very very unplanned.

but I was adopted by two great parents who were definitely planning to adopt me

 

Mum/dad got drunk on Valentines Day, 1992. 9 months later I popped out of her vag.

 

Planned.

 

I was born forty weeks after my father turned 21, my parents living with their respective parents and in college. It took me years to get my head around the idea that many children are planned.

 

I was a miracle-ish surprise. My mom had had two (or three?) miscarriages before me, and then was happily surprised when I was born. Later, though, she had to have a full you-can-never-have-babies-againectomy, but I think we're all usually glad that it's only me.

It's a shame they can't quite figure out that kind of logic.
Mine wanted their first to be a boy. Um. he is. But they'd flip shit if they had that pointed out to them direclty

 

My understanding is that I am neither. Kind of a if it happens it happens kind of thing.

 

This is a great thread. Not sure if I was planned or not. Surprised to see that so many know. Only thing I know related to my birth is that everyone was headed to the Thanksgiving meal and here I come. Result...no Thanksgiving, burnt Ham, and a crazy kid with a mind all his own. If it wasn't for this story, I would swear I was adopted. :lol:

 

I was planned since my dad was a youngster dating my mom- married 20 years later and finally had me

 

I was planned. I wish I had a funny story, but I don't. Except that I nearly killed my mother during childbirth because part of the placenta didn't detach, but that's not funny at all.

 

My parents tell me I was planned, but I think otherwise.

 

Planned but also a suprise. I'm pretty sure my mom shit her pants when she was told she was having twins.
