A friend and I were talking about our respective love lives (or lack thereof, in my case): Me: I have crappy luck. All the girls I fall for are gay and all the guys I fall for are straight Her: Wait, you've fallen for guys? Me: Yeah, I'm bi. [Smirks] Surprised? Her: No, not really. You gotta do what makes you happy. ------------------------------ I list on Facebook (visible to friends, not family) that I'm interested in men and women, which has caused interesting comments before. For example: S (roommate): So [me], M (hallmate), G (M's roommate) and I saw on Facebook that you're bi. Is that actually true? [At the time, I wasn't aware that asexuality was actually a thing] Me: Yeah. Why do you ask? S: We weren't sure if that was true or not, or if you were gay. So you're actually bi? Me: Yeah. At this point I went down the hall to clairfy with M and G that I'm bi, but I don't think they believed me. To this day (and this happened three years ago), I'm pretty sure they think I'm gay.
My friends were trying to work out who I had a crush on (which was a girl) Friend: Okay. Let's try this again. Is he in our class? Me: Yes Friend: Is he a boy? Me:... Friend: Is he a boy? Me... Friend:... Me: When I said I wasn't a lesbian earlier...I wasn't lying, because, you can't be a lesbian...if you're bi *complete silence* Friend: OH MY GOD HOW DID I NOT SEE IT HOW DID I NOT KNOW *a little while later my friend is still laughing about it* Friend: I'm so sorry, it's just...I've never... Me: *imitating her* OMG I've just, like, never met a real life gay person before!!! So that was fun...
I'm not completely out but my brother has known I was since we were young. He was probably 7 and I was probably 10. We were watching WWE Wrestling and we were talking about getting 'hard'. He said he got it for the girls. I said I got it for the boys. And if that doesn't prove it's biological then I don't know what does.
I told my sister I'm gay. Her response: "I think I kissed a girl when I was drunk at a bar once. It was a good kiss." And then she laughed. A couple years later, I tell her I'm genderfluid and that some mornings I want to be a boy, other mornings I feel comfortable in a dress and bikinis. Her response: "So what? I want a real, pulsing dick so I can feel it." We proceeded to have a good laugh about what our parents would say if they could hear our conversation.
Friend: haha dont you think the pink colour schemes on these characters are a little...you know...gay? (we are talking about super smash bros 4 just to put it into context) Me: well....I am gay Friend: haha very funny me: no really friend: really? me: yes really friend: not joking? me: not joking friend: why are you doing this at your own house where your parents could hear? me: i have no idea friend: well i guess you have an excuse to use the pink colour scheme now, but why did you tell me? me: i dont know.... haha he apparently always thought i was bisexual, goodness knows how one comes off as bisexual considering people usually decide that you come off straight or gay
My little brother told Liz when she told mom and dad that she was a girl, said almost the same thing.
*I meet someone new as I come to their house with 4 other (straight) friends* "You're gay? Honestly, out of your entire group, if I had to choose which one of you was gay, I would not have picked you!"
friend (who is gay): your really gay? Me: yes Friend (who is gay): kidding? Me: no. Friend(who is gay): really? ME: yes! Friend(who is gay): I thought you were just very camp... Friend(who is gay): Im still gayer than you.
So.... you're just gonna pretend you're gay? - My brother. (no kidding, he was really confused) ---------- Post added 18th Mar 2016 at 10:33 PM ---------- Oh, and this one was a bit annoying though funny at the same time: so, let's do a threesome with my girlfriend! :rolle: (the girl is hot tho. XD) ---------- Post added 18th Mar 2016 at 10:34 PM ---------- Oh, and this one was a bit annoying though funny at the same time: so, let's do a threesome with my girlfriend! :rolle: (the girl is hot tho. Dad: "So, I've been wanting to talk to you about something your Mother said to me." Me: "Is this the gay thing?" Dad: "Yes! Oh, boobs are great aren't they?" Basically how it went.
My best friends response was 'We totally need to get you a girlfriend it will be fun' I'm just glad that no one I know has judged me, I got so scared that they would judge me but they didn't, my mum was a bit wary when I first told her but we talked about it and she understands now... I was scared people were going to treat me different and that was what I was scared of
My also bi friend said "We can be bisexual buddies!" Also, when texting we say bi-bi instead of bye-bye
Not 100% sure if this counts, but oh well. So, when I first went to University, I decided to sign up for it's LGBT group during clubs week. A family friend saw me when I was talking to the people there, and then walked away. And here's how it went: Me: " I got to to talk to him!" *runs after him* Me: "Don't tell anyone! I'm not out yet!" Him: "... out about what?" Me: :icon_redf "... you don't know...?" Him: "... wait, were you signing up for [group name here]?" Me: "Yeah..." :icon_redf Him: "Oooh." I don't remember exactly what we said, but that's how I accidentally came out to a friend of my family. He was completely fine with it. The first person I came out to was like "As long as you aren't into me I don't mind" :bang:
