    LGBTQQAIP doesn't account for demisexuality? The system is flawed!

    Queer certainly covers every possibility, but I think there are people in the LGBT(QAIPD) part of the spectrum that would still dislike its connotations. I really don't mind being referred to as queer in a joking way but I would feel a little uncomfortable if somebody called me it completely seriously, even if they weren't being offensive, purely due to the negative connotations it's picked up for some reason.

    Demisexuality is generally considered to be part of the asexual spectrum.

    I know there are some people who have problems with it, and that truly saddens me. The best way to defeat the power a word has to cause harm is to use it yourself.
