I went with the shortened version of my birth name, which is more gender neutral without going too far away from what I'm familiar with.

It fits and I like it, but unfortunately I have to deal with the 80 billion people in my circle (exaggeration, natch) that share that name. Oops.

I really like going by Nika. It has always been my favorite name, but I never felt like I was "good" enough for it? I'm working towards feeling worthy of a name that great ... if that makes any sense. I'm trying to get used to my dad calling me by this name. I like that he's trying.

I don't know why it's my favorite name. I can't say it fits me right now based on what I look like and how I sound. But in time it will be a name I'd be happy to go by, when I feel I fit it.

I just picked "Christopher" because it was a relatively normal name and it fit me well.

I've always liked the names Alex and Xander/Zander, so I choose Alexander, so I can be called both.

I want to become your real life friend just so I can call you and say "Nika, it's your cousin! Why don't you take me bowling?" In a thick Russian accent.

    I chose Vincent.
Because frankly, that's the only name that kept coming to my mind.
    But I like it

I go by Max online. As much as I like it, I try not to let myself get too attached to it because I'm really worried that my mom will make me pick something different. As soon as I started thinking of a new name, it was the one I immediately liked, and I just like it. I feel like it suits me I guess.

I wondered for a long time what to change my name to, and after going through many names, I saw the name cody show up. And I just felt... right. Sometimes you just know.
