What normally trivial thing bothers you most?

 

Getting facts wrong for the sake of entertainment. For example the movie Robert. The only thing the fucking movie got right was his name.

Also calling the old religions mythology. That really pisses me off. It's not mythology to those of us that still believe. Especially while Judeo/christian mythology is portrayed as bone hard fact, for example.

 

Since the above person didn't say a question, I thought I'd just continue from you. Anyway, mine is flies. I've gotten so angry at the simple sound of flies buzzing that I've actually started to cry lol, and it doesn't help that I'm shit at catching them. It probably comes from this one time that I had to kill a bunch of flies in this abandoned room at night--the sound of at least 100 flies buzzing angrily at once was enough to practically crack my skull open.

What is the story behind an inside joke between you and a friend?

Honestly Earth - Because of all the planets in our solar system we are the only proven planet able to sustain life.

Only inside joke I can thank of is - a meme I sent to my friend that said "when you have to act like an adult at work but you really want to punch someone in the face - just say = ok sure". So when we see each other or walk by we say "ok sure" and then laugh and no one else gets it. LOL

What is you favorite movie of all time and why?

 

The Village. I know it's not the most amazing movie, but it's so nostalgic for me because I loved watching it as a kid. Plus, I'm in love with the soundtrack and I think it's what led me to start playing the violin.

When was the time you've been your angriest, and why? (Sorry if that is phrased weird >,<)

 

Wow - that's a big one. It was the last time I was around my mother when she was drinking. She is a long time alcoholic and has been recovering for 3 years now however on her last bender I caught her stealing from my children. Long story short, it was bad - very bad.

What is your favorite book/novel of all time?

 

Ugh, I'm so sorry about that. My grandfather is that way and I understand how upsetting it can be<3

I will forever love When You Reach Me by Rebecca Stead. It probably has a lot to do with nostalgia again, but it's the only book I can re-read and not be bored by. I'd say what I love about it, but it'd be too much of a spoiler haha.

Have you ever seen a movie so bad that it was funny?

 

Yes too many. My wife loves creature features, which I hate. But because of her, I have seen enough that they make me laugh just because they suck so bad.

Who is your favorite band and what draws you to them?

 

Well...it's a three-way tie between Adventures, Lydia and The Hotelier at the moment. My favorite band changes often but I really love these guys. It's really just because their lyrics make me feel something and sometimes literally remind me I'm alive. It's hard to feel anything because my depression gets so bad sometimes. I guess their music just feels like it's tethering me to reality. Kinda sappy but oh well They're all poetic too and it feels like they have a similar sound to the more mainstream emo bands whilst still sounding fresh...




But anyway. What I'd really like to know is, did you know what you wanted to do career-wise when you graduated high school? I feel like I haven't gotten my life sorted out and I'm graduating in a month so this is more for reassurance
If you're still in high school, do you know what you want to do after graduation?

 

Here's the thing - I knew I had a passion for writing. That's what I have always want to be. But life happens - and I have found jobs/careers that I have also had a passion for. I had a passion for a forensic technician for a while but life happened again and that got push away and then I had a passion for being a meeting planner for about a decade. I loved that job but I had to move out of state and there are no opportunities for me to continue in that career now. So right now I have a job I like - and have found a passion for cooking. Would love to open up my own spot one day. And I haven't written in a while but the passion has still been there.

Honestly, there isn't a food that I know of that has that reaction in me. I have really adventurous taste.

Violin - I love violin music and I think it can be sexy, romantic, hypnotic, violent and innocent form one moment to the next. I wish I could have learned when I was younger.
