There are so many average teams that have done quite well this year. It makes me wonder why England were so poor when we have players that have played very well at club level. Oh well.

    Come on Algeria!

James "don't call me James" Rodriguez is one of my new favorite players. I'm rooting for Colombia just because of him (and because they're playing Brazil, who are one of my least favorite teams, sorry in advance to any Brazil fans). And their celebration is just great.

And how about France v Germany? That's a mouthwatering match-up. Go France!

But I'm getting ahead of myself. Still have USA v Belgium tomorrow, in addition to Argentina v Switzerland. I'd love to see the Swiss beat Argentina, but I'm not too optimistic. Who knows with USA v Belgium... it would be amazing to see the US in the quarterfinals again.

I'm just going for Team USA. At the beginning, I was rooting for Australia because, well, who can't root for a team called the "Socceroos"?

I'd really like to see Costa Rica win (payback to the Dutch for beating Mexico :lol:slight_smile:.

I'd also be fun to watch the US beat Belgium and beat the winner of the Swiss-Argentine match . Can you imagine the uproar if the US defeated Argentina?.

Ha! The Swiss have been defeated! That's what they get for being so-called 'neutral' money launderers, with their shady banks, catering to everyone form the tax-evading 1% to the mafia to terrorists. I've always found Switzerland to be an over-rated, snobby place.

Now, for Belgium to defeat the US, and for France to defeat Germany, and I'll be happy. Ideally, I'd like to see France or Belgium as #1.

What an awful game but I feel disappointed Switzerland lost, they were really bad going forward. I cannot stand Argentina and I hope they lose their next game.

As much I like the US, come on Belgium (sorry I have them in a sweep stake).

Switzerland is not even remotely overrated. Amazing country, and exceedingly friendly people. Actually go there before you say these things!

Go whoever plays Argentina next (Belgium-US) winner!

Bah, the people may be friendly, but the financial institutions of Switzerland are evil!

And now, for the US to lose, another country full of evil money counters! Down with the USA!

My apologies in advance for being too patriotic.

This would be quite horrible as I'm in Berlin during the World Cup finals  I'm fine with any final but not NL-GER.

^ Wear orange and fill us in on the reactions. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Wish I had a better phone so I could upload a pick of this jampacked bar. US doesn't like soccer my ***. The millenials are becoming ingrained; this is the sport of the future.

Hell of a game for Costa Rica-Netherlands! Some great semis although it's sad to lose Neymar.

Much less certain of the Dutch's ability to get by Argentina, though.

I'd say that the Netherlands could be the underdog in this situation and could win it from behind, but then you have the usual suspects of Colombia and Argentina...
