I'd prefer to go out with someone with similar interests to me.

I could handle it. Especially the television part, because a good bulk of what I like, has been on syndication for years. Television programs like, Gilligan's Island, Good Times, The Munsters, Sanford and Son, and so on and so forth. When it comes to music, I like about anything, if it sounds good to me.

Now, if they were overly obsessive, then there might be a problem. But if that is what they like, I don't see it as a significant factor, in determining whether or not to date somebody. And even if it was, it would be in the lower priority bracket.

Yeah. The music I'd be down with, I'd just ignore the television if it bothered me.

Um, sure? But they're going to have to put up with me listening to real "retro" music: i.e. classical :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Sure, why not? I like some of that stuff myself. Taste in music/tv isn't a deciding factor for me anyway.

A persons taste in movies, tv and music has no bearing on who they are as a person, so yes I would.. I watch a lot of older shows and prefer listening to old school music myself so I would hope it would be a good match up for myself to be with someone else who has similar tastes.

Sure I would. I happen to like some "older" shows myself, like Quincy ME ..

Now, if they act like pretentious and weird (and/or they have an art or film degree :lol:slight_smile: we might rub each the wrong way and he may annoy me to no end. That might be the end of our relationship.

If I'm going to look for someone with similar music taste I might as well give up now cause I'm never going to find a woman like that. Gay dating pool is way too small as it is. As long as she's a good person and I'm attracted to her, that's all that matters.

As long as s/he doesn't force me to watch/listen to these, it's fine. However, there should be other fields of interest we both like.

Oops I realized I missed out your question. Sorry about that

Oh I would be in a relationship with a guy who doesn't like retro stuff.

I would probably watch the retro shows in my computer alone and I hope he doesn't mind me doing that. :icon_bigg
