I was originally going to just use my first name but it was taken, which was natural since it's a common name, and as I'm rather picky about usernames I chose to look into mythology and went from there.

I chose my username for fairly personal reasons. I have been and still am in a very bad place (mentally). I guess, to me, stars represent guidance and direction. I was and still am at a crossroads, fight or accept. I don't feel as though I have any guidance. Stars are located in the sky. Hence StarlessSky. I am sorry if this was dark or offended others, I am trying to be more open and honest so I figured this was a good place to start.

My username comes from a historical figure.
Mahidevran Sultan was the third wife of the Ottoman sultan Suleyman the Magnificent. But the reason why I have chosen her name as my username is that it means one whose beauty never fades or one who is always beautiful.

Through my life I've always been alone. People are attracted to me. But, none of them are my REAL friends. If I feel sad...do they care? Nope! But, you know who does care? My pug. Chazz. He will always listen to me and what I need and what I want and what my trouble is. When I feel sad and alone, he snuggles up to me. I had another pug...he would lick my tears when I cried...but, when he died I cried. And he wasn't there to lick my tears.
    And gay because I'm gay.

My original username here was thecat06. I had originally wanted to change my username to Brad, but it was already taken. So, I went with BradTheCat instead.

As an artist, I'm known on all my sites as a common username. To keep it friendly with EC's policy I just used my first name rather than my normal username; if I didn't it would be super easy to find me elsewhere, and I like not being banned.

I wanted to use my normal username too but I kept thinking about something that I always thought summed me up pretty well and it was the tobacco flower.
My mom assigns flowers to me and my brother because of what was around the house when we were born but I always thought my flower was silly so as I grew up I gave my friends flowers that I thought matched their personalities and mine happens to be the flower from the wild Indian tobacco plants because they are a crop that you have to basically destroy to harvest, it is often killed before flowering (to my understanding) and it is considered an addiction and really harmful crop but it isn't the plant that is really that bad, just the way people have bastardized the image it has. It was loved for years until eventually people starting abusing it and using it and ruining the simple and basic pleasure that used to come from tobacco. And so I guess I hope to be left alone and not used or abused and to one day flower like I know I can and make beautiful little understated flowers that are just for me.

I chose it because it doesn't have any meaning just like me.

My username is one that my 19yo self thought brilliant cover. It doesn't relate to me at all, it's just some English name, so not even my 1st language. So, it used to make me feel anonymous.

Now I just stick with it, regardless of declared gender. I do have female aliases elsewhere, but, I like my anonymity cloak here - plus, EC policy, that I agree with anyway. It makes this place a bit safer.

Mine is taken from one of my favourite books (Ready Player One by Ernest Cline). It's the online pseudonym of one of the protagonists. I chose it because I like the book as well as ast3mis' personality (I feel like we have a lot in common haha).

Too randomly I'd say. Given a chance again I'd rather come up with something more creative like:

"Saladin bin Aladin" (just like the way it sounds)
"El Bulgaro" (in spanish and relevant in my case)
"I am Batman" (assuming just Batman is taken).
