I normally wear casual clothes. Mainly because I can't find much clothes I like. When I wear tighter clothes or a tank top I obviously get more male attention. I just like to enjoy my day and be blissfully unaware of it. Not when there's female family members. They love to point out when I'm getting male attention. Even when I'm trying to enjoy myself at gay pride. Why do they have to do that?
Do they know you're queer? Maybe they don't know they're insulting you? Otherwise it could be that they're doing it out of a social need to feel normal. They have invested so much energy in conforming to norms that their world depends on it, and they hate to see those norms shackled by someone who doesn't conform. Did you attend Pride recently, you mean? Don't let their talk get you down, Pride is a day specifically set aside for you to be you. Hugs <3 (*hug*)
Well that's just horrible I don't think I can provide a better explanation than my one above, that they see you as a threat to their personal security. Is there any way of explaining to them, calmly or in whichever way, that you like girls and ask them to respect that? btw, this gets me so mad I'm trying to stay calm myself, I get that it isn't easy. hugs
