So just kids being obnoxiously stupid? I practiced martial art and some guy yelled at me "hey white belt!", he was wearing white belt too.
    True story, not sarcasm.

If you heard my music selection and colloquial speech then I guess I fall into this category too...

Oh no! I happen to like a music style based in African American origins and have adopted a certain dialect of slang or at least have a working understanding of it.

Let me guess. I like tacos. Am I acting mexican?

I am a black belt in Shotokan karate. Am I an Asian kung-fu master?

I didn't mean to imply they aren't accurate; most stereotypes are at least partially true. Do lots of black people like rap? Sure. Doesn't mean a particular guy I meet should be expected to like or dislike it based on skin color. My point is nobody needs to feel bound by them one way or the other. It's that attitude that keeps people in boxes and suppresses free expression. Saying someone is "acting black" feeds into that set of expectations which I think are ultimately harmful to our sense of unity with each other.

No, you're an Asian karate master. Kung-fu is way cool too though. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Why see color? if you are black or white, you shouldn't act like people expect you do, because everybody is different and the color of your skin shouldn't be a problem to anybody.

But if you are white and raised in a place where the majority of people around you are black then chances are you will act like the majority of people around you. It is human nature to copy those around us. Its how we learn to talk after all, by copying mouth noises our parents make.

So if I see a white "acting black" then I'll assume that he/she was raised around a group of people that act that way.
I'll think that no matter the color of the person or how they act.

I'm pretty sure the white person isn't thinking they are black. I'm pretty damn certain they know they are white.

This whole thing reminds me of the person who was yelling at the white kid for having dreads.

Just don't see color. If you see them acting like that, then let them be.
