Hi, I'm curious, what makes a vinyl record feel more special to you? Do you feel a sound difference? Or is it more enotionally engaging to have a physical thing going rounds?
I do think it's more engaging to listen on vinyl. It feels more like I'm sitting down to actively listen to the music rather than just throwing it on in the background. The other part I like about vinyl is the ritual of it. I like taking the record out of its sleeve and looking at the album art/inserts, reading the lyric sheet as the record plays, flipping the record when it's at the halfway point etc. It's also hard to skip around from track to track on a record, so you're sort of forced to listen to music in the context of the entire album which is something I don't do a lot if I'm listening to music digitally. I'm also just kind of a hoarder and I like collecting things lol.
