I got real deep into reality TV and I would go to reality fan sites and start up games and chat about them exclusively as the episodes went by. I was into America's Next Top Model, American Idol, Survivor, The Mole, A Shot At Love, Fear Factor, Big Brother and Popstars. I I basically surrounded my entire life with it and I really got into fashion, so it was kind of a plus.

MetalRice, in my humble opinion, and as I too am learning myself, you are who your are, come to terms with it and enjoy life for what it is, a gift.

It's amazing how smart dogs are. They are pack animals and are VERY good at reading facial expressions.

I like the punching bag idea. I've punched a few walls and well that hurts.

Bravesole I like your saying, be yourself not someone else.

Yup telling parents can be difficult. Shouldn't be but it is. They expect so much from ya at times.

Oh ya, dating a girl didn't work for me either.

It's my new theory that when one is upset about "something" they are with holding something and are unhappy.

    Yep ECs is good.

Thanks for the music, I liked it. You have talent for I would never have found the the tune you suggested.

With reference to shrinking back into closet. It comes and goes.

Yep gay porn is ok. It's a teacher.

It's ok to be a nerd. Alan Turing was a brilliant nerd, gay, and helped save the world as we know it.

With reference to depression. Here's what my cousin the psychologist suggests. a) eat right, no junk food. b) drink lots of water, c) exercise no less than 30 minutes per day, 3 to 5 days a week. Even walking is good for ya. d) meditate. Check out YouTube videos on how to mediate.

Getting involved in many clubs and organizations and get elected to leadership positions. So, in short, I keep myself busy for as long as possible to keep me away from thinking about my sexuality. It's been a blessing, building up leadership, and a curse, suppressing my sexuality.

I've found great relief in programming and composing. The former, because it's fun to discover the part of my brain that's not for the languages (but really I consider programming just learning how to talk to a computer to tell it what to do)

Lol, I'd hit things... Thai Kickboxing! Fantastic stress release, kills all of the nasty tensions. If anything came up about sexuality, I'd immediately resort to the Bible, and that would be the end of it. But to keep my mind off the whole thing and do something fun... sparring, pad training, a little jiu jitsu thrown in there (yaaaassssssss)!

Besides, it's a great confidence booster. It has helped me sooooooooo much to move on with my life and construct it for the better!

I also did this as well, I got so good at it I got re-elected for student government positions. I got really ambitious with my Model UN club, I made it all the way to 2nd to top position in one of the largest international Model UN conferences by THIMUN. Ironically though, the Model UN was where I found the boy I loved (who never loved me back).

Leadership is fun stuff, good fun stuff. c:

I never could...my mind obsessed over how I was the biggest fag ever.
What I tried though was focusing on academia even while I struggled, cutting and doing drugs, watching gay porn but avoiding the faces or kissing scenes. I did other bad things since I was "unmanly". Hooked up nearly 3 days a week.
Quite a delinquent yeah but even still I worked out with friends, did some sports, volunteered, worked construction, joined ROTC and then did Raiders. I tried to compensate for my anti-social rebelliousness.

Oddly enough, I don't recall ever doing anything to suppress those thoughts. Gosh, I'm such a freak! :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I couldn't get my mind off of it, once that guilt had set in. I'm pretty much at peace with myself. While I don't feel guilty anymore, I do feel insecurity. I still don't do anything to distract myself. I try not to read to much into it, and obsess over these things.

Nothing. I just avoid events where it's highly likely that I will get hit on by girls or guys. I am an expert in rejecting other people.

I played a LOT of video games, especially MMOs. Between World of Warcraft and RuneScape, I spent so many years playing those to help distract me. RuneScape alone I have almost two years of play time in.

I do the same thing I do to get away from everything...go do my own thing...alone. People drain the heck out of me, so it's honestly the best thing I can do.

I focused on school and church. Mostly blended in with straight men and would crush on one here and there untill I finally figured out I wanted to be with a man lol.

I liked the fact you get involved LostLion. Perhaps you will meet someone who will change your life.

EncagedPhoenix sounds like you turn to creativity to get by. It works. The more I learn how much I've been missing by not having a partner, to live like others, the more I hunger for normalcy.

I would ignore it or not think much about it.
