I mostly get "You are too pretty to be gay" or "How can you be a lesbian if you don't dress "manly", I just simply ignore them. I don't waste my time convincing them I'm really gay.

Yep. The arguments that I'm just lonely, desperate to feel a sense of belonging, being misled by Satan, etc., follows on the heels of a queer admission as sure as the sunrise.

Ugh, gonna have to face the gauntlet some time, though...

My sister keeps telling me I'm not and that I have to choose (I float between bi, gay, and don't care). So that's a pleasant thing to come home to.

This reminds me of a discussion I had with my mother.

    - Damn I care too much about gays, it must be a problem.
    - No, it does not seem plausible. You're masculine.
    - Well, actually not all gays are feminine...

At that point she became genuinely scared

This is funny in a way. One thinks of the construction workers, firemen, policemen, and athletes who are almost ridiculously masculine and they're gay. I think that it sometimes even makes some GLBTQ people shake their heads. I said sometimes.

    I laugh in their face.

Stupidity and arrogance on their part to an extreme to actually believe they can know me better than i know myself.

But if you really want them to believe it...could offer to show your porn collection, or for them to watch next time you blow a guy, you get the idea

I have on-line friends who insist I am not gay and that I do not know for sure. That I am too young to know. That I am just curious. Drives me crazier than I am. If girls do nothing, and guys make you feel all kinds of things mostly desire to be with them, to me that is gay!

Never had this happen. But I have a feeling I would be snarky ass about it. Like talk about how much I love dick or my sexual fetishes until they feel uncomfortable.

I'm strong in my faith in God, buuuut, I don't live by the Bible too much anyhow. Most people who use the Bible as an argument probably are hypocrites in some sense or another. If I can't be gay because the Bible (supposedly) says not to, then damnit, I'm stoning my kids when they need punishment!

Anyhow, addressing the original post. I had two people tell me that when I came out like three years ago and it bothered me. But, if someone were to tell me now, I'd probably just say, well you aren't straight or something un-witty XD I'm not good at witty retorts

I've had this happen a few times to me. However, since I'm a teenage girl who is friends with a bunch of other teenage girls, they never said it to my face. They just talked about it behind my back and then told me later.

Most of the comments were "She wears flowers in her hair, she's straight!" to the news of me dating a girl for the first time. I honestly wanted to punch a wall each time I heard this, because I never started dressing femme until that year. I just dealt with it by being confident as much as I could, and making gay jokes whenever possible.

Honestly, most of the comments now are that I'm gay and in denial by people who hardly know me. Sigh. Guess I just can't win either way...
