When did you come out?

I came out at school, for the general population.

The only "special circumstances" were taken with my mum… I came out to her in person.

 

I came out about a week before April Fool's day 2009..horrible timing..i know but it had to be done. 11 years is long enough to hide in the closet. Came out to my friend first whom I had a crush on in high school and then my parents and then my two sisters. Now if anyone asks I don't hide it.

 

I told one person in high school, but my major coming out has all been since I've started college. As for methods, I've used a few - face-to-face, over the phone, texting, facebook, and probably some others.

My opinion is that anyway you can get it out of your brain and communicate it to someone else is a good way.

 

Started telling a few friends, then I told this one girl, and then the entire school knew the next day when the b**ch decided to take my msn convo with her and e-mail it to the entire school. And they mailed it to their friends and so on. >_< So yeah there is my story.

 

i came out to some of my closests friends at school.

Most of them i didnt really hav to tell though. All my best friends obviously know but dont say anything and some of my not as close friends definitly know. It's probably my voice, according to...evry1 i know XD

 

I came out to my mum, last year, in August. Till now, she is the only one who knows that i am gay....

 

I changed my style. I stopped being a social outcast and, well here I am.

 

Think mostly at school....
the staff, teachers, and students.....
Then I got aressted.....
and had to tell my family....
cause the cop told them......

I sent an email to each family member the day before my B-day. I was so worried it would ruin the festivities but it wasn't too bad.

 

First, I came out to my mom and step-dad in the living room randomly Feb. 2008 They were both at their computers and talking to each other across the desk that separates the living room and family room. I was just sitting in a chair completely shut down having a silent mental wrestle. Mom got up and said she was going to bed, and I told her to wait because I wanted to talk to them about something. Then I clammed up, so she decided that me killing someone or getting someone pregnant were so ridiculous that I must be telling her that I was gay.haha I said yeah.

One of my friends already knew because before we became good friends I couldn't stop myself from hitting on him, because he's made of win.

Then I told a friend in the library. I had to write on a piece of paper.

Came out to my dad in a McDonald's with my mom and uncle's support.:eusa_clap

Came out to my aunt on my uncle's porch with my mom's support.

umm...came out to a friend in their car.

Came out to one of my coaches in their minivan

I came out on Facebook to my friends. I'm also not lieing about my sexuality when asked anymore. This all happened last week!

 

I started to think that I wasn't straight last year right before Christmas I think so it has been a year now. In april of 09 i told a few people. the first two face to face; the youth minister at my church and one of my best friends then two online then every other person, but one random guy in the middle of it all, I told face to face. (or they just found out through the grapevine; whatever, i'm pretty much out now and really happy

 

Do you mean where?

 

The first person I came out to was my best friend and it was in a car with just the two of us during an 8 hour drive to a different city. I was so nervous that my stomach was in knots before I finally got up the nerve. Now that I think about it, it would have been a hell of a long ride if it hadn't gone well...

I told my sister face to face at her house.

A few others have just "figured it out" on their own and brought it up, and I haven't bothered to lie to them (like I used to).

Still, no question, telling anyone I am gay has been the hardest experience of my life, even harder than public speaking.
