When did you come out?

I just came out last year, at the age of 36. It's been amazing!! I knew there was that weight on my shoulders, but didn't realize just how heavy it was until it lifted. And it all happened in one night. It was totally a spiritual thing. I feel like I've just been born!!! I tell people I'm 37 going on 23; I even get carded ALL the time now! 40 lb. lighter, in shape, making tons of new friends. I got a "reset button" in life, yay!!!!!

 

August 3, 2008 (I know all my dates which the OCD in me likes) making me 14, but I don't think I'll be done and totally open until 21, that's the goal at least...

I first came out to myself and friends when I was 15 1/2, I will be out to everyone once I tell my family.

 

I remember talking to my parents at 13, about two friends and myself being gay. They told everyone in the imediate family the next day. Some were supportive others did not understand, and still do not.

 

I was 23

 

I told most of my friends when I was 15, and came out to everyone else just in the past few days. Like, i'm pretty open in public with my girlfriend, and if someone asks I just tell them. I still haven't told anyone in my family, but I know my aunt and uncle will take it well (hope so anyway). So I might tell them when I visit them in Liverpool soon.

 

A couple of friends when I was 14 or 15, then scattered over the next few years, ending with my parents when I was 17. There are still a couple of people who don't know (extended family) but I consider myself mostly out.

i came out to my friends when i turned 12.
i came out to my dad & cousins when i was 14.
and i came out to my aunt a couple of months ago.

 

I came out to my family at 15 and I came out to everyone a few month ago at 16 (!)

 

im 17 and i came out to my best friend about a week and a half ago, another friend about 3 days ago, and my second best friend last night. they all took it really well, and im sure there are more to come. my parents have known id been thinking about it for a few years, but ill tell them that i AM gay soon i think... definitely within the next year. after that, i want to come completely out.

 

I came out to a few people just over a year ago when I was 21 just before I graduated from university. I wish I had done it sooner.

 

I came out to by friends and crush at 12. None of them speak to me anymore... By the time I turned fourteen the whole school knew.

 

I came out fully just last month....

I told the first person when I was 15.
Now I'm 16, and out to about 17 people. Been a crazy time, and it's not over yet xD

 

I told my family and all my closest friends when I was 16 and now the only people that don't know are people that arn't as close to me.
