What words did you mispronounce as a child?

    For a long time when I was a kid, I had issues with R sounds. So, I would mess all of them up. I still sometimes mess them up, although years of speech therapy has made that a lot better. Other than that, I would call root beer "root beard". That was because I could not hear very well as a kid. I also would call samples "zamples".

    My sister pronounces Museum as musam. She's 18 and she still does.

    I couldn't get the "th" sound right, so I usually ended up saying the "f" sound instead. It drove my parents crazy. This went on until I was about 9 years old. And there are a lot of words in the English language with "th" in it, so I mispronounced many words.

    Also, I said libarry instead of library.

    So, I was one of those kids who actually said things like, "I want to go to the libarry wif you."

    I say ass instead of ask, it's funny when people have a "WTF" look on their face but they don't say anything about it.
