The weirdest thing is I listen to incredibly depressing music even though I'm down. It just sounds so much better when I am down for some reason

Listening to happy musicc when I'm sad just makes me angry and sad music depresses me even more. I find the perfect type of music to help bridge those feelings is something that makes you feel nostalgic. Nostalgia is a sad feeling, but it is a sort of happy sad. For me the best nostalgia comes from the soundtracks of videogames or movies I watched/played when I was younger.

YES! Kpop is so versatile and amazing there are so many kpoppers on here...I'm surprised!

 

Dancing Queen by ABBA usually cheers me up. John Denver can cheer me up or make me melancholy. The Monkees. I know it's ancient stuff but it helps.
