Yup - found it very interesting - and as I watched it very early in the process of accepting myself - it very much helped me accept that I am 'hard wired' to be what I am.
i think its more along the lines of ur "spirit" or soul or ur "inner being". ur personality! something u cant analyze by looking at the physical structure. its something unseen but there. u kno what i mean?
It's definitely hard-wired, whether it's genetic or other factors, but how strongly you repress it is determined by your environment and surrounding culture. THERE IS NO WAY YOU'RE GOING TO CHANGE! Stupid ex-gay conversion people! THEY'LL NEVER HAVE ME! *throws sharpened medical journal*
*looks down at hands* Well how about that. Both fingers are even. Interesting... And my dad was (is?) gay, and I have an older brother (who's straight.) There's got to be more than "just" social influences or 'choice,' going on here.
I think that it's decided while you're still in the womb. I know for me and all the gay friends that I have that it was not a choice.
What makes a person like sport? What makes you like this song, but not that one? It's just there. You accept it, and don't make a big deal of it=P Which is what I think sexuality is=] It just is. Don't try and understand it^_^ Just accept how you feel=]
That's certainly the case for me - including the years of suppression (thanks to my upbringing and childhood environment/culture!) - even when I was "straight" - I was far more interested in shirtless guys, but just put those thoughts to one side and got on with being the "me" I'd been brought up and trained to be.
