People get passionate about this stuff. It's serious business. Not something to legit discriminate over, though. I bet most people who get all belligerent are just having fun with it.

Pineapple on pizza? Don't think I've ever had it but it sounds good to me. I'm a vegan so loving fruit comes with the territory and of course vegan pizza is AWESOME so fruit on it would probably be great.

Awesome! I usually buy mine at Whole Foods. I usually get Daiya myself but home-made stuff is usually better.

Pineapple Pizza (Hawaiian pizza) is pretty good. I used to eat it daily before I stopped eating pork

Japan has pizza. In fact, a pizza place in Osaka won an International Pizza competition. That being said, corn and mayo pizza is like the Japanese equivalent to pepperoni. Oh, and pepperoni pizza is super expensive (and probably has mayo).

I would do that, they do sell the stuff to make pizza at the grocery store, but I don't have an oven. I've got a rice cooker and a single-burner gas stove.

It's very common here. However, I don't like the combination at all. The sweetness of it combined with the salty pizza.. Bleeeh.

Spill. I've never found any decent vegan cheese here, so I stopped eating pizza. What's the recipe?

This will do. I have tried it, it works. You can even bake pies.
You might use a big pan with a lid. Giving a little oil in the pan, then the dough. On the smallest flame, leaving the lid on. It just takes time. Lift the lid only if necessary, and put it soon back on. I needed about 30 min for a pie and maybe 10-15 min for smaller dough (look inside in time, depends on stove...)

Another trick is to turn the heat higher than the smallest flame and bake one side, then turn it and put the toppings on, and closing the lid. Gives a crunchy crust. (depending on stove, this should take 3-5 min. until turning... you might closely look at the dough and remember time and settings for the next time )

I would be interested, too... found this recipe, but haven't tried yet :
    Simple Cashew Cheese Spread

Please share if you have tried it
