What is your haircut style? How do you describe it to the person cutting it?

I have my mother cut my hair. Having a hairstylist cut it is always a nightmare, and not worth the money.

Anyways, these days I don't cut my hair at all, as I am growing it out.

My hairdresser has all these hair style magazines and I just pick a picture at random and say that I want it like that. Seems to work. Right now my hair is just brushing the tips of my shoulders and is layered. I am growing out my fringe so whenever I tie my hair up I have these strands of hair swinging by my face.

Short back n sides with a number, and trim off the top.

My hair is generally fairly short on the sides and about the same length on top. I leave it long enough to syle, though.

I just get the ends trimmed since I am trying to see how long my hair will get.

Normal cut, parted to one side. I have no idea how to describe it

I cut my own hair with the clippers. A no 1 all over.

    Happy days

I recently cut off a lot of hair. It's around chin length now. Whenever I go for anything more than a minor trim I bring a picture as I have no idea how to explain what I want. That way you know the stylist has the same image in their mind as you do.

Short on sides, long on top. I might bring a picture to give them an idea of what I want doing - but I've been going to my barbers for a while now so they know what kind of cut I want, and I have yet to be disappointed.

Number three round the sides number 8 at the top.
(Technical way of saying short at the sides and thicker at the top and I keep most of my fringe)

Basically, I've got long, thick, curly hair, so it is absolutely IMPERATIVE that I know what to tell a new hairstylist in terms of how I want my hair cut. Haha.

Back home, I've been seeing the same hairstylist since I was like 14. So, it's safe to say she pretty much knows what I want need now. I usually tell her to do long layers, trim the ends, and to thin my hair. The hairstylist I see in the city has cut my hair before, and she has been successful too, thankfully.

It's been a while since I've had my haircut, now that I think about it...

"I've been blackmailed into coming here so cut as little as possible so that my parents will stop going on at me" Is what I usually tell hairdressers :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I just asked my stylist the first day I went to him (new place) what he though would look best, and just let him go out. Never been disappointed but id say its short on the sides, with enough on the top it play with. Which he seems to enjoy cause he is always messing with it and trying to figure out the natural color so he can dye his hair it. Pahaha

I've been going to the same sylist for a year now, so I don't usually have to explain what we I want. Sometimes we change it up a little though. Number 2 on the sides, rounded back, just trim the top, blend both together, and don't touch the length on my side burns. Fairly simple.

I just tell my guy, Gabriel: make it short enough to last about 2 months...

I had 'flapper hair' for a while but now it's grown out it's more like a short 40s style.
And my sister cuts my hair so I just tell her how much to cut off.
