What do you want to be when you grow up?

Hmmmm....I love history, so i was thinking something to do with history. Archaeology is reeeally interesting to me.

I think that's my main interest right now, archaeology.

 

I understand that perfectly! I gave up my potential career as a nurse to get married and have babies. I loved being a mom. My youngest just turned 21 and now I do this (moderating EC and running PFLAG) to keep me busy! Well and taking care of six little boys ages 16 months to age 4. They keep me pretty busy too!

 

When I was younger I wanted to be an anesthesiologist, just because I could sat it and knew what it was. Then I got addicted to Grey's Anatomy and then I wanted to be a nurse. My first year of college I worked at a school and I decided to be a teacher.

 

I am studying to be an actor. It's been my dream since the age of 5, but only recently have truly pinpointed why it is my passion in life. I must follow this calling that I have been given...my desire to achieve success in this great art is consuming, and I am so happy to know what God called me to do.

Not really. when i was younger i wanted to be a doctor.

Now i want to be a lecturer. French, lit or something along those lines

 

As well as getting into architecture (as I rambled about on the previous page) I really just want to get enough money to be comfortable in life so I can afford things I may want but most importantly if something ever arises where I need quick access to a bit of money I know I can afford it.

 

I wanted to be a computer programmer. Those aspirations quickly faded though. As of right now, I have no idea...

 

When I grow up I want to be a male Janice Dickinson.

Minus all the plastic.

And add a bit more bitch.

If that fails; nutrition and psycology rock my boat! Actually now that I think about it anything to do with health would be cool.

 

Architect - Buildings are pretty cool
Urban Planner - Always seemed fun designing a city
Politician - I absoloutly love Politics and plus my name would sound great with Senator or The Honrable before it
Journalist - Being an investigative journalist would be exiting
Photo Journalist - One picture is worth a thousand words and plus id love to just take pictures for a living
Teacher - Practicly my entire family are teachers so is probelry inevitable...

^What's scary is that I've at different stages wanted to be all of them. lol

 

I find it interesting how some of you guys--apart from your career goals--want to make enough to be comfortable, when my goal [live sound engineer] is basically freelance, so i could have a job once, make 300 bucks and never work there again. Or i could travel with a tour and make a couple thousand. Its like, i feel like im one of the few who really doesnt care if i make thousands per month or nothing, as long as im doing what im doing.

 

i have wanted to be a published author for years; writing is what i do best. journalism would be OK but i would prefere to do my own thing really.

aside from that, there's stuntman, psychologist/psychiatrist, and pornstar

 

I have wanted to be:

a teacher
a lawyer
an architect
an air traffic controller
a train driver
and a police officer.

my current aspirations are either a chef, or musical theatre!

 

I want to be a singer or a music producer

 

I dont know specifically what I want to be, but I want to have a law degree, be fluent in spanish and chinese, work with/in the government and maybe eventually travel to "developing" countries to volunteer.

Edit: Oh and I want to be a stripper/bartender at some point in my life. Probably the latter, and probably during college.

 

I wanna be a Marine Biologists who specializes in Mammal Marine Life(Whales, dolphins, Seals, sea Lions and Walruses). I have always loved the water and whales and dolphins all marine life actually but especially them.
