Having to take that look around first before deciding whether to kiss, hold a hand, say I love you etc.

Parents not being understanding/accepting. Also finding a relationship because I'm more masculine than the sterotypical gay guy and it seems that even other gay guys tend to stick to the stereotypes.

Feeling like I have to educate every single fing person about our culture. Seriously, no trans person is trying to lie to get to your kid, they just have to pee. No Femmes do not want to date a man, just because they date Butches, and yes Lipstick Lesbians ARE sure they are gay. I get so tired of ignorance....

finding out who also prefers female and realizing that all of the crushes I had so far were straight (or at least not telling me otherwise).

And having to always prove otherwise than being hetero and cis normative in this society.

I cannot decide which one annoys me more...

For me, it's probably that I'm terrified of flirting with girls in case they think I'm creepy.

Not that I flirt at all, but hypothetically, around a guy I would just be awkward, but around a girl (unless I knew they weren't straight) I physically could not do it.

For me, the worst part about being queer is finding other queer folks with no solidarity and no understanding of their history.

It isn't 10% of people that are gay. It's only 1.5%

Straight crushes are the hardest for me. I obsess over them only to find that they are hopelessly straight

Straight people assuming I'm straight. Gay people assuming I'm straight. Everyone else assuming I'm straight. People thinking I'm dating my close female straight friends. Basically everyone (even other lgb+ people) assuming I'm straight. Me assuming I'm straight for the first dozen years of my life. Me almost fitting a stereotype of a gay guy (musical theater is my life, and I act really feminine).

Sorry for the rant guys. You asked for it.
