What do you do when you get bored/depressed?

    I read my favorite books, listen to really good music, wear my favorite clothes and eat stuff that makes me feel good
    or if none of that helps because I'm really bummed out I watch awful tv shows in my pajamas so I can get vaguely emotionally invested in someone's totally unrealistic problems for a while.

    Concentrate on questions outside of my life. History is the usual, and I like to think about everything I know about a topic and ask myself basic questions about the period that I don't fully grasp. I start to realize the gaps in my own knowledge by doing it. When I apply it to myself it gets terrifyingly honest and extremely useful.

    Ohh retro video games are a niiiiice way out of that :slight_smile: . Super Mario World always makes me happy.

    I usually go for a walk...a change in environment delivers a change in perspective that is usually positive for me.

    Well I listen to music (I have this sort of playlist that I listen to when I'm feeling down/anxious), I play my bass, draw (this usually takes up a lot of my attention so), or I write :slight_smile:

    Bored: day dream, play piano, write, paint, draw, watch shows, check EC, check tumblr, check fb, check my cell phone, go on wikipedia and read random articles, do my laundry, walk aimlessly around the house only to return to my computer.

    Depressed: listen to music, go running, hug my cat, watch sad movies and cry, journal about what is bothering me, sit in my closet and cry. (surprisingly I do feel better after crying, and my closet is comfy I have a giant 2ft square pillow in there that I curl up on and a smaller one that I hug(*hug*))
