Sometimes you've gotta go "fuck it" and go it alone. You might make new friends that way, at least.

 

Well, I dunno. Maybe. It's just awkward and weird going alone when you don't know other people, you know? I need some people I sort of know to kinda ease me into meeting other people. :lol:

That said, I had a wonderful time last night. Sure, being a bisexual in a mixed crowd bar can be frustrating, and the bartender put my whiskey in a plastic cup with a straw, but overall... not a bad way to interact with a group of friend I hadn't seen in months!

The laid back hookah lounge seemed more fitting. Should have spent the night there...

 

Well, yeah it is an excuse, for sure. I'm a little hard of hearing and still kinda socially awkward though- so I need a handler/platonic wingman to help me figure out what's going on. But I'd even kill for friends willing to do quieter shit at this rate. Ugh. I was supposed to go out tonight and do some of the late night Pride things but my friend/ride canceled last minute. :dry:

I'm just gonna delete my dating apps... No one actually messages back, I'm hesitant about dating anyway, and I just kinda feel dumpy and gross right now. I mean, I don't even really have a good group of local friends or anything so what am I doing bothering for a partner? It's not gonna happen.

Same. I think I'm gonna delete the one we were talking about last night. I don't think I'm where I want to be in life when I date. I want to have a job, and a place first before I consider dating again.

 

Yeah... Plus, I can't drive and I'm anxious af so not a good mix right now. But the particular one we're talking about- yeah I have no intention of using it any time soon. Met some pretty shitty people on it before I got with my ex.

 

Gotcha man. Same here, with my disability, I'm nervous to drive tbh. No rush to date at all. Just focus on yourself at the moment. Things will fall into place in due time.

 

I'm feeling really happy I'm off work for vacation but really sad my partner has to work the whole time and conflicted that I kind of like the alone time as well and giddy I'll be in Tokyo next week and sad that will be alone as well.

 

I can't do this anymore!
