I can now say I have an article of woman's clothing in my wardrobe :lol:.

I went to the outlets on Labor Day and at the North Face they had a lot of really good gloves for $7.99 and I got myself a pair (my hands get murdered in the winter and I figured it was about time I wore gloves when it got really cold). They are basically forest green and unisex-looking, but as I was just removing the tag it said "WOMENS/FEMMES" :lol:.

 

Sadly eating a banana and peanut butter sandwich. Because this is my life now.

 

My first day in my new position was basically a nightmare and I was near tears more than once. It is not at all what I was expecting. People are viciously mean. My director watches my team like a hawk and everyone is constantly busting their asses while simultaneously not getting much done. I wasn't expecting it to be easy but to say that the environment is harsh is an understatement. Admittedly, a lot of bad things happened concurrently today so maybe it was just an off day..but it isn't starting on a good note.

 

I am basically stressed as of the moment as I need to really get my stuff together. I'm hoping to take an MSc programme in a very specific field in psychology. I'm not a Psychology graduate so I need to take a conversion course. My mum and dad won't be paying for that so I have to find ways- soon. Need to save up.

Blew my bike tire. Can't afford a new one. Dammit, Monday was yesterday; today is not supposed to suck this bad.

 

I can't help but wonder when Sean McDonough, who's an ESPN broadcaster and former Boston Red Sox play-by-play guy will finally come out publicly. Apparently it's an open secret within ESPN that he's gay, and pretty much anybody watching one of his games can figure it out for themselves. This is McDonough calling a game:

Everyone acts like I'm an idiot because I can't focus on a phone call and work at the same time. I have to spend so much time trying to decode what people are saying and focus on the words and then my work suffers and I just get stressed out... Ugh.

My boyfriend knows I have a learning disorder but he still acts like I'm stupid for not being able to hear anyway.

 

I am very confused XD

 

Session went well, I think. I got them to laugh, so, the ice was broken.

It wasn't as long as I expected, but that's fine. They have a first impression, as do I, and we'll meet again before too long.

Mission accomplished.

 

So my university couldn't plan at all (campus modernization) and now there's no room for my organic chemistry lab. Their solution? No lab for the first half, double second half. Seems well thought out....

 

One more day of work tomorrow, and then I'm heading back to the Netherlands for almost a week. Excited to see my family and friends again.

That does not make you stupid by any means. I can't concentrate worth a damn either if I have to do one thing and hold a conversation with someone else at the same time. I completely lose focus on both tasks.

I'd try to ignore what anyone says. I've seen a lot of idiots; you don't look like an idiot to me.
