Burn out is a serious thing, and no matter how much you may need the money; or the escapism, or what have you; you are of no use to anyone (not your employers, not your kids, and much less yourself) if you burn yourself to the ground. You need to take care of you if you wanna be able to take care of others.

    Yikes, I hope at least you love your job then. Is this temporary or is this a state of affairs that's not likely to change in the near future? Because I would have to believe you superhuman if you are able to put up with that work schedule in the long term.

    I will be maintaining this schedule as long as physically possible. I know I run myself ragged but I'm always doing whatever I can for my kids. Just finished up at stretch before summer began of doing 7 days a week, with 3 days off in 9 months.

    This is probably about the 15th or 16th time my dad invited me out to his mine, only to end up cancelling. I'm starting to think that this mine isn't real, just by the way things are executed. He basically promises me, then sneaks off without saying anything or he falls silent without a trace or reply until a few weeks after. It's starting to bum me out, because I really want to help him find the things I know will be there, just by knowing how to look for them.
