That feeling when you're not that hungry, yet somehow keep eating junk food....

So I was talking to my friend last night about his date and how it went. Among talking about how much he enjoys this guy, he mentioned 'he also makes 45k' and then proceeded to call him daddy. I feel like I'm the only one who loathes that term as I believes it brings the connotation that someone will lay around doing nothing while the 'daddy' provides everything. Anyone else feel this way?

So I stayed at school after classes for 45min talking to my teacher. All this time he could not stop staring at my arms. I swear he almost cried at one point. I know he was right when he said it was not coincidence that he became my teacher.

Lay around and depend on a man that makes 45k? In the state of California? In the United States of America?? In this economy??? Maybe if I move eastward, but coastal America won't have that. When the government starts knocking on my door for those student fees the fun is going to be over.

But I completely what you mean about that term. It is one thing to use it sarcastically or ironically, but when there is actually an attitude of "the man who pays my bills" behind it than it does get a little weird.

That would be £28,000, which is slightly above average here. Given that most of the US is considerably cheaper but with higher incomes than the UK and most of Europe, I'd have thought $45,000 would be a good income to live on. Well, maybe not in San Francisco or somewhere like that.

45k isn't enough to be a daddy. LOL

Yea I know, but we're both in college without big bills...yet. So for college students, 45k is a nice chunk of change.

It would be decent if: low/no housing expenses, low/no consumer debt (including school loans), full medical premiums covered by employer, and you live in a relatively inexpensive market.

Oh believe me, 45k is a lot from my point of view. If you were making 45k in my hometown, you wouldn't be rich but you'd be pretty comfortable. I make like...way less than that. Living expenses considered, I usually do okay. Try being a sugar daddy on less than 45k. Ugh.

Made a carrot cake for my mom's birthday. Every time I have to cook something for other people I get worried it'll taste awful.

ONE-SIDED. You think our relationship is one-sided when I'm the one paying all of your bills, buying everything and you do laundry once in a while? I should be the one saying that!

What a horrid and odd dream I had last night. I dreamed I was in an Arby's in my city with my uncle, two local city council people, a few other random people, Arby's employees, and Jeb Bush. It was like 11 PM and dark out, and this guy was dressed in all black and looking around suspiciously. I said, "I think this Arby's is about to get robbed." Then, he bursts through the door and asks for everyone to hold their hands up but doesn't go near the cash register. He pointed the gun at me without saying a word. I just said, "Why are you doing this? Here, I can give you some money." He said, "I don't want your money." My uncle and Jeb Bush run after him and proceed to try to take his gun. The gun went off and non-fatally injured one of our city council people(one that I don't like). My uncle and Jebbers tackled the gunman to the ground near the fry area. I say, "I think I am going to have a heart attack." Then this Arby's employee is randomly washing his hands acting like all that happened is no big deal and jokingly says, "You should have had a heart attack earlier in the day. You know it's going to take them forever to get here this time of night." Then my mom( a big Republican) calls me and I tell her what happened. She isn't worried about what happened to me and wants me to ask Jeb a question. I said, "Are you serious?" Then, I woke up. Weird.

If you look up "irony" in the dictionary you will find under "examples" the EPA spilling millions of gallons of toxic water into a Colorado river.

Normally I feel a little uncertain about new eyeglass frames but this time think I really dislike them. :frowning2:

Sucks being nearsighted when 'trying out' glasses, you can't see how they look very well and mainly have to rely on the opinions of those on-hand...

The worst part of that dream? You were stuck at an Arby's.

It's ironic that the one person who could get me to truly look back at my childhood and relive it was someone I have haven't met yet.
