So, didn't do much of anything today. My case worker didn't get back to me on Medicaid and what is needed as far as proofs. This hematologist I called refuses to see me even though the immunologist referred me there. "We don't do investigative work, we only work with those already with a diagnosis." Isn't the whole idea of your specialty to study blood results and make a diagnosis? I realize you specialize in getting cancer and lukemia meds and administering radiation/chemo, but what about helping a patient out and making sure their blood results are interpreted correctly when your other fellow doctors cannot do so? Uggh.

Today did have some bright spots. Came out to two people and both my state senator and state rep. affirmed their positions supporting LGBT rights. They both want to expand the Elliott-Larsen Act as well as oppose this new stupid RFRA("religious freedom") amendment.

Interesting analysis Dr. Raven. I believe you might be onto something.

Regarding sleep being terrific, depends on the quality of the sleep. I've had days when I would wake just as tired as I went to bed, and others when I would wake up feeling like I spend the night before on a spa or something (aliens?). If there were some sort of way to control it that would be amazing. In the meantime, knocking myself out cold should do the trick. HARDCORE SLEEP

I always like to give a professional analysis of important matters such as these!

And now, please, get back on that couch.
We're not done yet. *Fills syringe*

Oh it certainly depends on the quality of the sleep, but I sleep extremely well most of the time. And even if I'm half-awake, I just LOVE staying in bed, not doing ANYTHING for hours before I finally get up.

Ye, and then the workdays start.
Nasty society and the way it works.

Or more like I'd just be dreaming about how much I loathe people. Then again, I guess I'll give you one in that it would allow me to have control over the fate of said people. .....Nah, must...stay...awake; I'll deal with them later.

-My current beef- is with people who constantly pull shit out of their asses as fact, as if they apply to everyone(no exceptions).

Me: Can I go to hotel fitness center?
Dad: no, your going to catch aids *gay stereotype voice*
Me: what? You can't catch aids from sweat. If that's what you mean.
Mom: yes you can! It's all bodily fluids.
Me: haha! Your wrong! It's not through sweat.
Dad: ok, go to the gym and really *rub* yourself all over the equipment. *gay stereotype voice*
    Me: it's not through sweat!
Dad: there you go again, you must think your always right! you can't go! You might get raped by a big gay man. We are in San Francisco.
Me: I'm not going to get raped! What is wrong with you people! We're not even in San Fran, we are in the outskirts!

Thinking how weird my parents are. Also I had this talk today.

Nephew: did you see the mural with the black guy throwing up rainbows? On the wall next to the gas station?
    Me: no, why?
Nephew: it must mean that there's a group of black gay guys around here.
Sister: wow, BLACK gay men and that means there proud
    Nephew: yeah, n-word faggits.
Me: did you guys know what else I saw. When we were driving to the hotel I saw a special medical center for LGBT people. :3 *in a enthusiastic tone*
Nephew: yeah, that's because normal doctors don't like taking care of faggit people. Because they have aids.
Me: well this medical center didn't look abnormal.
Nephew: think about it, gay people aren't aloud to donate blood.
Me: yeah but, that might change soon.
Nephew: no, all faggits eventually get it.
    Me:.........
Nephew: I wonder if gay people give blood anyway, for the money. That would be bad.
(At this point I wanted to fuck with his mind)
Me: well gay people are really rich! I bet they don't need the money. They always have lots of it. They are the high class people of the world
Nephew: they don't have that much money!
Me: yeah, they basically own this town (San fran)
    Nephew: I don't think so.

    That shut him up

Lovely. I feel mellow. This is a nice change; I've been feeling rather malicious for the past few days.

Malicious you say? That definitely piques one's curiosity. What exactly were you thinking about doing?

    What's the final final on?

And it wasn't really anything in particular. I just felt like making someone unhappy and had a pretty negative interpretation of everything this week. When I'm feeling negatively, I like to insult and demean others. It's a nasty trait.

It's just an essay on my philosophy of teaching the different components of literacy. Nothing too difficult, it was just a matter of finding the appropriate research to support my specific points.

Definitely a nasty trait, but also an understandable one. I would think that it is decently common for people to express such negativity towards others when feeling particularly low themselves. "Misery loves company" and all :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

    Here's a thought:

Whenever you feel obligated to ensure those around you that you are not prejudice, it might be the perfect time to consider not talking at all!

For the very fact that you feel the need to emphasize how not racist, sexist, transphobic, or overall simpleminded you happen to be makes it perfectly clear that you are completely aware how your words will be perceived. You were completely aware, yet you chose to voice them anyway. The only people that you are fooling are the ones who happen to be just as tragically deluded as you. Someone please name one time that you were following along with what someone was saying, getting to that line, and thinking "Wow, Jeff, I was really getting concerned there, but I am happy that you cleared that up!"?

I won't bore you with the details, but basically it's not something that I should be blaming myself over, yet i do... I can relate to the whole "sweating the small stuff" bit in your post.

Sometimes I care far too much about what people think, yet often I don't care enough. This obviously causes some problems.

I have secrets I want to share. It's become exhausting keeping all of them so close to me after all this time. When will I finally meet the person, that I can tell them to.
