    Well...even though today was completely chaotic at work... they had a Valentine's Day party. And for staff members, they had this thing where staff and residents could vote for the Valentines Day Prince and Princess. I must have been popular. I got third place with the amount of votes out of all of all of the men who participated. My supervisor got first and his girlfriend who also works with us got first place as Princess. I don't know who got second place. And I'm not sure who the 3rd Place Princess was, but third place Prince... that's a confidence booster. Pretty happy about that..

    Well, I have a bunch of strong runs in for the week! I am going to attempt 12 miles Sunday.

    Tomorrow is a rest day, which is going to be full of anime, OPSEC, and computer forensics practice. :3

    Another day of battling with my inner "demons", as they say.


    Noticed the downstairs basement is a great getaway. Quiet, dimly lit, perfect for relaxing a tired mind. It might become my new hideout.

    Also, people say that less exposure to sunlight makes you depressed? I disagree (but yet again, I disagree with most stupid generalising "facts" that encourage every human being to think the same).
    When the night comes, my mind is calm, my body is energetic, and I feel focused and ready to get things done. In the daytime, especially when it's sunny, I'm more likely to be a mental wreck.

    I swear I was meant to be born in some alien planet where the intelligent life forms are nocturnal shadow beings.

    Overall, I would say that it was a successful day. I received a good review from my supervisor for the lesson he observed, provided a student who forget his candy at home with some that I brought so he had some to pass out to his classmates and wouldn't feel left out, and got a horde of candy from my students to bring home :slight_smile:

    Why does anyone give enough of a fuck about Spend-Too-Much-on-a-Shitty-Hallmark-Card Day to actually be sad that they're alone on it, as it it's somehow worse to be alone then than on any other day? It's not actually a more important day. I promise. It's just so Hallmark can sell more cards

    I am not sad I am alone I am sad that no one will be buying my tasty chocolate, expensive jewelry, and clothes, who wouldn't be sad, spending money on yourself when someone else can buy that stuff for me is sad I want my boyfriend to buy me stuff cause I'm awesome got dammit.
