So, my mom presented me with a choice this morning. Either I could volunteer to take the place of someone in a field hockey practice, I could stay at home and not volunteer to take her place for the practice. When I tell her, of course, that I don't want to volunteer, she says "Oh, you have to go if you want to get better."

Why do you give me a choice from which i can't actually choose from? Do you care about my ideas, do you have any respect for my wishes? Why on earth would i care about getting better at something i dont enjoy and something you are forcing me to do?

It just makes no sense. It makes me so confused and tired and angry.

 

As long as he covers it with his shirt or shoulder or whatnot.

Covering it with his hands would just spread it to absolutely everything he touches (unless he washes/sanitizes his hands directly after coughing).

 

Arrright, I've had enough of people saying the Patriots should be "disqualified" from the Super Bowl. Even if the footballs were deflated, it's not like it would have made any difference in the outcome of the game. When you get beat 45-7, the air pressure in the balls is irrelevant. Play the game again, and have an air gauge on the balls the whole game, and I guarantee you it'd be just as big a blowout. Now quit your crying and move on. You lost, go home.

Made somebody happy earlier today, at school, I believe.

There is a campus cafe at the community college I attend, and several students grab something to eat or drink there, before/between/after classes. The owner is the only non-student that works there.

There's a HOT AS FUCK decent-looking fellow working the counter. Considering my situation, it's easier working with females, but I figured, what the hell, let's see what happens... this is what went down, basically.

Him: Welcome to the ___ ___, what can I get you?
Me: How about a coffee?
Him: I can do that. Anything else?
Me: Make sure it's not too hot.
Him: I can't exactly control how hot it is.
Me: You tell your girlfriend that, too?
Him: *temporary confusion, but it gives way to laughter* Yeah, yeah, you know it~!
Me: So you aren't single?
Him: Naw. I got a little lady.
Me: You're a good-looking man. I'd ask you to join me for a cup of coffee, but that wouldn't be right to do, now.
Him: I appreciate it, but I don't swing that way. Sorry.
Me: I think it's more 'sitting' and less 'swinging'. Must be awfully hard to drink coffee, swinging.
Him: *cracking up* You're a trip, man. Let me get you that coffee.

I've been doing good on my finals though. I was worried about my math and english finals, but I got a B+ on both. Still waiting to hear about my history and spanish finals, but I'm not as worried about them. Huge relief :icon_bigg

Staring at the sky for no reason is strangely soothing. It kind of felt as if time was passing by slower or something, which is a nice change, considering most of my life nowadays passes by like a blur.

 

Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy am I a 2 on the kinsey scale. This makes my life sooooo difficult.

 

Fun fact: Perez Hilton once liked a couple of my pictures on Instagram. After confirming that it was indeed his official account, I was torn between flattery, embarrassment, horror and seriously considering changing my account to private.

That's how I ended up with a crick in my neck -- boredom. Trying to play video games upside-down. In hindsight, maybe it would make more sense to figure out to safely place the TV upside-down.

Fucking Amazon. It's been a year since I've been paying for Amazon Prime and I still don't have access to Amazon Instant Video's library in my country. This is exactly the kind of bullshit that has piracy thriving. I can't fucking wait until TPB is back online.

Jeez, counseling patients on their medications is harder than it appears. It really is an art.

We were shown a video last week about a patient being counseled for antibiotic usage. The student who did the counseling made it look effortless. However, when I tried to counsel someone through a simulated case for another drug, I messed up badly. Was really nervous :/

At least I get to prepare for another simulated case by reviewing notes and checking package inserts for counseling points, rather than doing it on the fly. Crossing my fingers that it turns out okay...
