I don't know how it works where you are, but which class gives more entry points? Are either very good for university entry?

Feel kinda hurt and upset tonight. I thought we could be civil, i thought we had a thing, i ended it and you're back to your bf, fair dos? I didnt think you would point blank refuse to acknowledge me at work, put so much pressure on me not to go for a drink with my workmates.

I didnt go, and im left feeling shit and nobody knows why, because i refuse to damage his relationship :frowning2: Oh well.

If you're talking about AP classes, AP Psych was incredibly easy when I took it.

Basically, both count as six credit hours to university, which means I would have to take six less credit hours of class at college that would cost a hell of a lot more than at high school. I'm interested in taking both of them, but I could probably only fit one into my schedule.

My personal favourite would be Sociology. What would you like to study at college?

I want to major in investigative journalism, and have a focus on either civil rights/liberties or political science.

Well damn, at least this San Jose State-Navy game is interesting...

Sounds like sociology would make the most sense in application, then. But in the end it's just six credits, without it directly counting toward a degree requirement best take the one you think will be more interesting.

(not that you were asking for advice from any of us.. probably have it all well in hand)

I'm beginning to doubt my class selection for next year. I'm not sure if I should have decided to do French or Ancient History (I chose French).

That sounds like an interesting study area. Pick the one that you think is going to be the best one to take then. If you can, look at both subjects in greater depth and compare how they both relate to the focus you want to have in Investigate Journalism.

I haven't been on Facebook for almost two weeks, and as I logged on (about ten minutes ago), I saw my best friend (whom I can't see often in person) messaged me asking if I'm okay. That just made my heart warm up a little bit.

French is more practical. I have heard language skills are in demand.

    Insomnia.

But now I can't sleep. I'm too excited. Because there's a babka to be made as a thank-you for my friend for the ride to work yesterday.

    And other stuff.

    Sweet, sweet other stuff...

And babka. Life could probably not get better than babka.

He would’ve actually been the best horse in the club, due to the fact he’s taller than all the other horses, he’s sturdier, and more enduring. It’s just a shame people here really don’t know the firs thing about riding. It’s unfortunately why almost all the people here who ride are white. They’re quite impatient and they don’t realize the horse is growing just like any other human child.

No one here knows the breed of the horses. They’re African mutts.

"So Maddy, how did you hurt your arm?"
"I tried too hard to open a bottle of Baileys."

    Doing my family proud.

    This made me lol:

(My biology class is beginning its unit on evolution, much to the chagrin of some classmates.)

Biology Teacher: “Now, as you should have read in the text, the most recent common ancestor between humans and chimpanzees most likely lived between 6-8 million years ago, although there is some—”

Classmate: *jumps to his feet* “Were you there?!”

    Biology Teacher: “Excuse me?”

Classmate: “Were you there when monkeys turned into people?!”

Biology Teacher: “In my class you have your butt down and your hand up to ask a question, Mr. [Name].”

(The classmate gives the teacher a death glare, but sits down and raises his hand without breaking eye contact.)

    Biology Teacher: “Yes, Mr. [Name]?”

Classmate: “My question is… WERE. YOU. THERE. When monkeys turned into humans?”

Biology Teacher: “Of course I was.”

    Classmate: “Then you can’t—wait, huh?”

Biology Teacher: “Yes, I was there.”

    Classmate: “No you weren’t!”

(The rest of the class starts snickering.)

Biology Teacher: “How do you know I wasn’t there? Were you there?”

    Classmate: “No, but—”

Biology Teacher: “Well then you can’t tell me I wasn’t there, because you weren’t there.”

    (Everyone snickers again.)

Classmate: “You never saw evolution happen! Nobody did! So nobody can say it’s true!”

Biology Teacher: “Well, Mr. [Name], unless this is the first science course you’ve ever taken, your old teachers should be ashamed because they obviously left no impression on you. Biology, and all sciences, are based on observation and deduction.” *he holds up a copy of the textbook* “What you read here is what we have observed and what we can deduce based on the evidence. And if you actually had read it, maybe you would know that. You are in your junior year of high school, and you should not have to have this explained to you. I do not have the time to stand here and explain this to you. So if you have any further objections I suggest you come and see me after class ends.”

Classmate: “Evolution never happened! It’s a fairy tale made up by liberal scientists who hate God!”

Biology Teacher: *pinching his nose in frustration* “I’m not getting into a religious debate. This is a biology class. If you interrupt me again, Mr. [Name], you can take your objections up with [disciplinary officer].”

Classmate: “Fine! I’m not going to sit here and listen to lies from the devil!”

(He storms out of the classroom with his backpack in tow.)

Me: “…So shalt thou put evil away from among you.”

In fact, I suspect something very similar might happen to me soon. We have a startling number of creationists in my bio class.
