Believes misandry is a real and pressing issue that trumps misogyny...yeah, we're probably not going to get along. Also, they're starting to confuse me and make me think they might actually be a guy posing as a bi girl.

Oh, the people you meet on the internet. :eusa_doh:

Edit: Ooooh, there it is, the official request for a threesome. Called it.

What the eff? If misandry is real, I have yet to be a victim of it...

    Also?

Took a Myers-Briggs test earlier and was characterised as INTP. Kind of surprised, if only that it wasn't INFP....

I just pissed the person off and got accused of being a misandrist by saying misandry isn't a thing. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: That's the first time I've had that happen. Yay, social justice street cred! I've shelve this memory right next to the one of the concerned Christian sending me a Bible for Christmas.

I mean, I guess misandry is a thing... From like... Lesbian Feminists (that is, the ideology, not feminists who are lesbian).

There are obviously individual people and even some ideologies with an unreasonable hatred of men and masculinity. People are like that; if there is a ridiculous position to an issue, someone, somewhere will hold it. But they lack the social framework that powers misogyny, sexism, heteronormativity, cissexism, and racism. A misandrist woman isn't going to do any damage other than hurting a few men's feelings. A misogynist man can worsen the lives of women (and non-binary people and even feminine men) everywhere.

(Funny side note: Opera recognizes misogynist as a word, but not misandrist.)

That's because Opera knows what's up. I agree. We're definitely on the same page. Anyway, you're probably talking to some sad fucks who drank the MRA kool-aid.

It was a good night tonight. Hung out with two good friends, had Freebirds, swam, had a beer, played NCAA Football...not in that order but close to it. Excellent hanging out session the last opportunity I got before heading to Martha's Vineyard.

Btw, anyone know what to do there? I know my family will want to do stuff but I kind of want to do stuff at night on my own.

I am about to go on my morning walk, then breakfast. I'm so tired, but I'll work through it. If anything, it'll give me time to think about so much crap. Hopefully it'll make me feel better if I can pinpoint what I am thinking about.

    Sorry for the double post.

--- Back from morning walk and breakfast. Just got through my phone. My aunt called. She said she wanted to REMIND me that a potential employer would have called me by this time, and I should have my phone with me at all times, and it should be on at all times.

I agree with her on this.

I have been applying for practically EVERY TYPE OF JOB possible in my town. Fast food joints, casinos in neighboring towns, gas stations, grocery stores, you name it. I have not gotten a single fucking call back to even say, "Sorry, we considered your application but you were rejected."

I would be happy with a rejection call than no call at all.

And my aunt is blaming me for fucking not being able to get a job. Okay, Aunt ******. Okay, Mom. I literally have tried my fucking ass off to try an get a job. You calling me privileged and spoiled for having showered myself in video games and the internet doesn't help. It hurts more because it's the truth. It's not right, and I definitely should try harder to get a dumb job, even though I've literally even done what you told me. I went in to each restaurant, an embarrassed, red, stuttering mess, and I asked to see the manager JUST SO I COULD INFORM HIM I AM A POTENTIAL EMPLOYEE WHO IS WILLING TO WORK HARD? Did I get a call back? No. Is that my fault? According to everyone it is, so what am I doing wrong? I'm starting to think something is wrong with me.

This post was so out there, it's not even funny. I just don't have my journal with me right now, and I had to write this SOMEWHERE. I hate today already.

I sort of know what you're going through. I've been struggling to find the motivation just to look for positions, and as if I don't lack enough confidence in the first place, often all I'm confronted with from my mother is how stressed she is about finances and, when she actually takes a more 'assertive' step toward encouragement, getting on me for not looking.

Ultimately, I think when it comes to finding a job you have to essentially say, "Fuck you," and look for something in spite of the flak you get from others around you about not looking or finding anything. Nonetheless, I'm sorry that your aunt and mother aren't giving you more positive support, but as long as you keep looking and putting yourself out there you should be able to find something. (*hug*)

I think I am going to take a break from EC for awhile, at the least just for the summer. I think by coming here frequently I keep on having the thought of my sexuality on my mind constantly and it is kind of stressing. Also I want to just live life for a bit and minimize my Internet usage a bit and get a little fresh air, you know?

Anyways hope you all have a nice summer, I might meet you again in the fall! :smilewave
