    I have been blown away with the way my university's student newspaper covers LGBT issues. Nearly every day for over a month there has been an article on the front page about gay rights, coming out day, and such. And today the editorial board's column blasted Iowa GOP leaders and anyone voting against the Iowa Supreme Court judges. They essentially called anyone opposed to same-sex marriage stupid, bigoted, and evil. I've been reading the Daily almost every day since I started going to college here last year and I have never seen an editorial that strongly and passionately worded.

    And this year's editorial board is made up of 6 straight guys and one straight girl. Even when last year's opinion editor was transgender they never published anything this unequivocally in favor of LGBT rights.

    I'm thinking telling my dad off was the right move -- morally speaking ofcourse. Selfish? No, not if he's already lied to my mother three time in three months about "meeting" some woman. I just wish my mom actually had the guts to do the same. His idea of "working things out" by the way is laying on the couch sulking all damn night.

    Anyway, I have ball hockey to take my mind of things. =]
