I was just thinking about how it finally feels like fall! After our long, weirdly cool but oddly prolonged summer.
Sorry to hear that Ed! Hopefully you'll feel better in the morning. (*hug*) I had the same thought earlier. It was rainy and windy today. The temps have fallen quite a bit. Yep! Fall is finally here!
My roommate said it's supposed to get down to 39 this weekend. I was afraid that an unusually cool summer would mean a cold winter, and I may be right I nearly froze to death back when I had to walk 100 feet from my car to the school. Now I'm going to be walking over a mile a day around campus. Not fun:dry:
The village news just came through I'm an avid fan of the "Quotes and Tips from the Farmer's Wife" column. This week it has bought about yet more very useful and scientific facts: I don't even understand the last one. Anyway, I'm off to smother my hair in vinegar.
Congrats!!! ---------- "Brasil" by Gal Costa Não me convidaram Pra essa festa pobre Que os homens armaram pra me convencer A pagar sem ver Toda essa droga Que já vem malhada antes de eu nascer Não me ofereceram Nem um cigarro Fiquei na porta estacionando os carros Não me elegeram Chefe de nada O meu cartão de crédito é uma navalha Brasil Mostra tua cara Quero ver quem paga Pra gente ficar assim Brasil Qual é o teu negócio? Confia em mim Grande pátria desimportante Em nenhum instante Eu vou te trair i'm swinging my hips to this. Gotta love this song!
I'm tired. Really, really tired. Worked about 11 hours today. I love Minus18, but working at the dance parties take it out of you so much. And I got asked out by a girl I'm not interested in (and can't go out with anyway due to no-touchy-the-patrons regulations), so I had to do a very awkward "I'm really flattered, but I'm sorry, it can't happen" speech bellowed over loud music. On the plus side, I got to see Stuart again
I just got home and found a random girl who I do not know doing homework alone in my living room. This is interesting.
Dear self: whenever you see a girl crying at a party, do not help her out. It will only lead to hurt later on...
Just me trying to be nice... And totally giving the wrong impression in the process... And then finding myself needing to be blunt and/or rude to get out of it. I've been there before. I'll get over it. After hating myself for the next few weeks... :icon_sad:
(*hug*) Filip Don't hate yourself! You tried to help her! It's not your fault she may have misinterpreted things. You're an amazing guy Filip, don't hate yourself for others faults (*hug*). You can't control the way people may interpret your actions. It's okay, Filip (*hug*)
Pfff ! Those straight girls ! They always think that whenever a guy is nice with them, that means he is interested. :icon_wink Don't worry too much about it and please don't hate yourself, you did the right thing. (*hug*)
Aww sorry to hear Filip. Don't worry about it. You tried to help, and that's what's important. If she thought differently about your intentions, you can't do anything about that. It happens, but don't worry about it. In a couple of days the whole thing will have blown over. (*hug*)
I'll wait for you, Josh. I love you more than anyone else I've ever met, and it took me 2 years to realise that what we had was magical. I'll wait for you - if there's a chance that we can get back together, I'll take it. I love you babe, you're the best.
