I've been watching The "L" Word season one, and am becoming mildly obsessed.

I slept until 12:30 for the last time today. It's hard to believe tomorrow is the last day of summer, yet with my best friend off at college suddenly everything has a sense of finality it didn't have before. I'm not exactly ready for summer to end, but I'm ok with it.

I think my friend and I are going to make a rainbow cake tomorrow! We have been planning it all summer so I'm excited.

 

I want a poster but of who?

 

I'm wondering what will be the next wonderful thing life has in store for me. [/sarcasm] Yesterday I was dumped. Today I have to pretend to be perfectly fine in front of my entire extended family for my grandma's 93rd birthday. I also have to tell my ex girlfriend that I need the ring I gave her back, because it belonged to my other grandma, who died when I was little. And to top it off, I just got my period two weeks early and am suffering from the worst cramps I have ever experienced.

Yeah, consensus is that you generally need at least a month after you lose a pet before you bring in another. Otherwise, emotionally, it'll always be "The Dog That Replaced ____" and not just "Charlie" or whatever.
