    Finished 1984 yesterday (thought-provoking in places, especially the concept of Newspeak). Will start to read 1985 next, and ideas about language in 1984 have made me want to read politics and the English language as well at some point.

    Mason and Dixon by Thomas Pynchon.

    Finding this surprisingly heartfelt by his standards, so far it's quite beautiful.

    This book is so good! Once you sat treading you get stuck in the world of Westoros and there is so many things that happen that I can't put it down!

    Certainly some form of progress, I've been reading it for about a week and a half now which seems like ages to me, I usually go through books way faster than this. I always have to slow down with Pynchon though, one of the densest writers out there.

    I've been reading the A House of Night series by P.C Cast and her daughter. It's a very wonderful series, it will soon have 12 books to the series along with 6 novella, I think. The best thing is they have a gay character in it!!!! And he is part of the main characters too.

    I'm reading Armistead Maupin's Tales of the City now at my Mother's behest (I think she's getting more comfortably liberal as time moves on). I'm already in love with Anna Madrigal - she's such a lovable character. I kind of wish she was my auntie or something.

    The Faults In Our Stars by John Green (which kind of annoys me because the teenagers in the book talk like middle-aged philosophers)
