At the moment I'm reading The Journey Prize Stories: From the Best of Canada's New Writers, Volume 16. I'm half ways through the volume and so far it's good. For the first time, I read a short story that had a science fiction twist to it. The story centered around a baby that grew wings and began to fly first in its nursery and then in nature. The story was very well developed and made we want to read the next story.

Re-reading Nar Kiss by Nekono Mariko, since... can't be bothered to read this other thing i was recommended since, i feel like it will feel really shitty when i finish it, since, i'm expecting it to be very good. So, there...

Was debating if i should actually read a book (like, with no pictures, crazy!), like... have these Agatha Christie books that my mom likes to read, anyone know if they are good?

Right now Im reading The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. Im a little over halfway through it, and its pretty good. I really like how the author narrates from Death's point of view.

These Things Happen by Richard Kramer, as recommended to me by the author himself via Twitter. For a book being promoted by the author himself via randomly following people on social media and suggesting they buy his opus, it is not that bad. So far I've found it a bit hard to get into, but things are picking up quickly despite the characters' frustrating lack of open communication (the main star however is a teen, a variety of beings notoriously allergic to open dialogue with adults [sorry teens, but it's not the easiest time to express oneself, nor is it easy for adults to grasp what's happening as we've forgotten what it's like to grow up...])

It deals (almost timidly so far) with LGBT issues too. The main character Wesley's father is gay, as is his best friend Theo. As far as I can tell, Wesley is unsure if he might be gay also. Frankly, I'm more confused than he is regarding his own sexuality.

Next on my nightstand is On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft by Stephen King. I've been searching for it for ages hoping to demolish my own literary embargo. As well as A Grief Observed by C.S. Lewis - a book rife with powerful quotes on navigation of pain and suffering.

I bought Shakespeares complete works for 3 bucks in a thrift store a few weeks ago. I never read Romeo and Juliet, so I'm giving it a chance. I can't help but feel stupid when reading his works though. He's on a whole different level than me, so to speak... And it's in english which isn't my mother tongue.

I'm reading 'Demain' by Guillaume Musso, in French. There's probably an English version but I'm too lazy to look it up right now.
It's good, but definitely not the best book written by him that I read.

Does non-fiction count? If so, Hobbes' Leviathan, Plato's Republic and secondary sources upon it. I have to read them though, since they are my course texts :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: but in terms of fiction I want to get round to reading Asimov's Foundation at some point.

Just started "Nadja" by André Breton. This should be interesting. As someone who claims to be a fan of surrealism, I can't believe I haven't read this yet.
